Honeymoon to Krabi Options

My fren just came back from Krabi, she went there to take PS. I saw her PS dy, very nice especially those taken at the sea. She stayed in La Playa and she said the hotel is great, its not far from the town and beach. Have to walk a bit la but not the far far type, few minutes walking journey like that. She said there are a lot of shop at the town that provides tour.. must survey one by one to get the best deal.

Luckily i booked La Playa for my honeymoon next mth. Now i cant wait to go after seeing her photos

hopefully the small resort package i booked will turn out ok -- I mean it is la playa's sister hotel right...

i intend to go next year for my honeymoon but i already check the hotels and activities around. i found alot of fellow member like to choose pakasai or la playa hotel. i check the web an other review found that Royal nakara ao nang have good reviews and also newly open on october 2008 the amandari krabi.
the rate for royal nakara are also cheap 1200 bhat per night for low season.

ya ya, initially when i survey in AA site, i saw this Small hotel too. Its La Playa's sister hotel. But i cant find reviews about the Small hotel, so i go and book the La Playa's pool access room from hotels2thailand.

Ya me too..cannot tahan already & book AA at RM 657.++ included flight & accomodation at Buri Tara Resort. It is quite reasonable. Travel period on Aug. We didn't choose pool side room access because we think that we shall going out for whole day & not much time to use the pool..hehe..so happy & can't wait to be there..

I took the pool access because my future hubby wanted the second day more relax and spend it more at the hotel room rather than go out exploring... *coughhoneymoonrightcough* plus i just love swimming pool..

erinepink - i thought of doing that too... but felt it is just easier to just book everything under 1 package :D

I am going back to Krabi for my honeymoon. Previously I stayed at Ao Nang Paradise Resort. This time thinking to stay at The Peace Laguna Resort. It is more expensive compare to La Playa but the resort really very nice. Wish to go for kayaking this time. Really miss Krabi very much.

I'm also going to Krabi for honeymoon. Which is next week! Getting excited about it.. am just wondering.. since Ruen Mai restaurant is a must go restaurant, anyone know how far is it from Ao Nang? I'll be staying at Phra Nang Inn.. anyone heard of it b4? My friend stayed there and he loves it.. highly recommended.. so we just booked.. i read this thread too late.. else will book pakasai.. book 2 nights get 1 night free.. not a bad deal at all..

Ya, ya.. I also plan to book either this hotel or Pakasai. The price looks pretty reasonable and nice. Best thing is near to the beach. Please let me know how is it like, the best if you can share out some photo?

to those who already went -- what is the difference between long tail boat island trips and speed boat.
Because of budget constraint - I thought I want to get the long tail tour but some thinks is not wise to do that. any opinion
I plan to go for snorkelling trip to 4 island or hong island.

Haha!!! finally I'm booked to Krabi this end of June... It cost RM 1100+ for 2 person and stay at Ao nang villa (4 day 3 night)... think to stay ay La Playa but after discuss wif HB. he prefer to stay the resort with nearby the beach. I'm so exited now and 3 more months to go....

p/s..I just check with AA website..they don't provide RM 10 fare now....lucky I booked it early...;)

i am going on the 19th june weekn... i emailed 1 tour operator -- they said in june certain islands like phi phi is unaccessible due to storm but usually the ones nearby like hong and 4 islands which is 30 minutes from aonang still OK if you want to go snorkelling or island hopping...

I plan spend 1 day snorkelling..island hopping...
one day just relax around the hotel... :D

Long tail boat is like a long sampan which can accommodate more people and the boat move much slower and consume more time to reach the destination. Speed boat roughly can take abt 15 person, more fun and faster. Tour with long tail boat will be slightly cheaper but I will suggest u to take speed boat. Enjoy ur trip

oh!..Scared me because I thought the sale ended. Actually if you notice, they don't give RM10 fare for all the dates between 23 Mar-11 Sept. We have to choose ourself which dates that is RM10..so some dates the fare cost bout RM100++.

By the way I've finally booked the Goholiday package for Krabi La Playa- RM735.46 for 2 persons. Will be going at the end of August..!

hi kellysiew, you're talking about ao nang villa or ao nang paradise? obviously it's two different resort. the last month i went, i took the 3 days 2 nights package from the ao nang villa resort itself. the package stated superior room but upon arrival the manager upgraded us to superior sea view. the room is facing the swimming pool and at the top floor. overall, i'm pleased with the room. enjoy your trip ya..

We have tried Bernie's place buffet, just so so only. Tanta's food is better if compare to Bernie's. The rice served in "heart" shape. Very romantic.Must try their pancake which actually is roti canai but just add in banana if you order banana pancake. It's delicious!!!
The best food we found is Jamal's restaurant actually is a small stall at the road side. The tom yum kung is good!!! We have tried fried rice with crab and fried rice with chewnut also good! The food price is so cheap almost half price of Tanta's. During night time, u can get " Fried cuttle fish and also their goreng-goreng food sell by motor bike. quite nice can have something to chew when walking in the night. Don't forget to try Samurao Pork burger from McD. My hb like it but I feel OK lah maybe I am not really like sweet source. Oh, the last night we call room services. The food in resort also not bad. for me is better than Bernie's. Somemore for those who took the program from resort got 30% disc.

yup...The staff there are very helpful and friendly. We feel that they really "have heart". First day, we check-in, we see a pair of elephant (towel made) on the bed. The next day, we have a pair of swan, the next day we have a pair of flower.We stay there 4D3N. So we have 3 different type of towel made decor.
