Hi,

Nvr been to this clinic before, but if u want to do the full fertility check up for both male & female, i suggest u go to hospital tht has got neurology dept too, as for male u may need to go to this dept for check up. Whereas for female, advisable go for doctor tht is both Gynae & Obst.

Chia & Loo, is the gynea i visit for my pregnancy check up. Not sure about fetility check up cause when I visit them I am already a pregnant lady. But their facility is good and the cost is reasonable as well. For pregnancy check up 1 time cost around RM80 - RM100 including mecdine.

You may call up them for more information.

Hi all,

I've been there once few mths back when i started TTC since Dec 2007 and felt tat my lower abdomen is pain here and there. (i wonder is ovulation pain and it was 1st time i experienced such pain)

Staying at kota kemuning, i cant find any gynae nearby accept those like SJMC/ Sunway. My coliq who visited him (Dr. Chia, my fren said Dr.Chia more ok) recomended me this Dr. and i was there to do normal check up. Juz wana share with you all what i have got from him. After checked (scan and papsmear)and thank God is nothing ( i wonder got fibroid or other disease)

1.) nowadays it is very common to use 6-12mths to conceive (thou i hard to believe but i hv to accept this fact, bcos i failed even tried 3 mths)

2.) checking BBT and servical mucus may not a gud indicator as it will differ if body hormone changed

3.) my pain oso is due to the hormone change

4.) papsmearRM30 -collected result after one week (mine got fungus infection and nurse gave me ubat to put inside private part , 2 biji 1 day. The way he did papsmear oso not so pain, very prof)

5.) make sure i take folid acid (must 5mg per biji), even 3 mths b4 TTC shud start

6.) very friendly doc (and leng zai too :P ) and owes smile to calm u down (if see u r too worried)

7.) I asked the nurse there and they got 3D coloured ultrasound to see BB

He said me have no big prob. Juz be relax to TTC.After conceived juz get back to him. Since i have checked by him my pain reduceMy coliq said they attached with few private hospital including Sunway, SJMC, Pantai (i need to ckeck back) She has choosen Sunway and got the injected, all she had paid like RM3.5k ,2 yrs back when she delivered her BB Boy :)

Hope these useful to all of u :)

dear december,

would you be so kind to share further about ur experiences in chia & loo...

a) which gynae is better? Chia or Loo? Personal experience i feel Loo is friendly..but like a bit blur blur like tat one...

B) how do you come to know them? were they recommended to you or walk in?

c) which gynae is doing/done your delivery? How do you find their skills?

Thanks in advance.

hi ladies,

i went to chia n loo a week ago at noon time. and there was no patient at the moment.. but the doctor was in an operation... i think a malay lady was doing an abortion at that time.. I saw the husband waiting at the waiting area.

the nurse told me doctor is doing an operation, but it is finishing in 10min.. so i waited 10min.

oh ya.. by the way, my gynae is Dr. Tang in SJMC.. i went to see Chia n Loo is because i have some small infection on my nipple... and so happen i was in puchong, puteri area.. so i went to see Chia n Loo just to get some medicine to apply on my skin to ease the itchyness!

andi lazy to go see Dr. Tang.. coz she really have to wait few hours at anytime of visit.

but after the consultation at Chia and Loo.. i would say i prefer alot more to see Dr. Tang @SJMC. I like Dr. Tang.. she is more frenly, and more caring... and the environment is much better compare to chia n loo. btw, the medicine Chia n Loo precribe to me wasnt very effective, it got worse in fact i still have the infection untill now.

This saturday i will see Dr. Tang for my 5th visit.. and i will show her about my infection and also the medicine Chia n Loo gave me.

this is just my personal experience. hope it helps u gals!

hi joycecross, no problem... here are the answers to ur questions...

a) both gynae is ok and friendly and i am comfy with both of them, each one has their own characteristics but for me, i prefer dr. chia a bit more coz he is more outspoken. dr. loo is more "hak hei" and doesn't talk much. i like to ask questions and joke a bit, so dr. chia is more responsive in that sense... hehe :P however, u dun get to choose which one to see coz they follow their schedule and whoever that is on duty on the day of ur appmt will attend to u...

B) i walked in one lah coz that time i was bleeding and was looking around for a women specialist clinic to start going to.. and this is near my house.. convenient also la... no need for long wait at hospitals... after the first consultation, i find that i am comfortable with them and continued...

c) dr. chia was the one that did my delivery. my opinion, i find him very professional and assuring. he was also joking with me knowing i was in pain.. haha.... pain relief mah... i had a smooth delivery process... the skills part, erm.. a bit difficult to judge since this was my first child and i can't compare. but i trusted him. so i guess as long as you feel secured, they are good :) again, i didn't choose which gynae to do delivery for me.. it was according to their schedule. i only inform them which hospital i want. even follow up checks in the hospital was done by either one of them.. not necessarily the one that delivered for u... coz dr. loo did check on me too. i guess it depends on whoever is at the hospital that day...

maybe more forumers can share their experiences here too?? :)

i went to Dr Chia n Loo. first visit was very impressive. but 2nd visit, it's really disappointed n lead me to get 2nd opinion on my condition.

after getting 2nd opinion from another gynae, sorry to say that i'm not going to this clinic anymore. but it's based on 2 times visit's experience with them. very hard to conclude whether they are good or not.

dear mickey,

do you mind sharing what's the condition? they misdiagnosed the condition?

dear december,

thks for the information. which hospital did you choose among the 4?

anyway, i am feeling a bit skeptical about chia and loo that's why all the questions... in total, i've been there 3 times..

1st time - dr. chia to do pap smear.. and just general questions about ttc.

2nd time - suppose to collect pap smear results...waited for 1 hour plus... went into the room with dr. loo, found out the results not back yet..

3rd time- dr. loo.... got the results.. ask more questions about retroverted uterus...and the test results and etc...

I have confusing information from dr. loo and dr.chia about calculating the fertile period... dr.loo said most fertile is calculate 14 days from the day your menses should come... dr. chia said, your typical cycle, just divide into half...that is the most fertile period...

so, for now, i am still skeptical..but dunno which gynae to go too...
