my bs is armadale, actual day phototaking, 2 x gown also rent from them, car deco also. i am wondering whether should take their in-house bridal MUA or outsource....trouble now as i am only taking photo on my actual day so MUA is extremely important to me. I got the list from u guys about MUA in KL, called wai yee just now, she is offering me RM580 2 session, RM80 trial make-up can be FOC if i book her straight away. what do u think of Lee Kuen or Fai Cai? as i think guy MUA is pretty good. my actual day is 21/10/2006, deepavali.

i find their photo and service is quite good, the most important thing is i saw the gown that my FH and i like and comfortable with the person in charge there, my package is close to RM4K because we need the photographer for 10+1 hour and no need to headache so much since everything is from them.

Hey purplelilac,
Welcome to MB. I was with Armadale as well. I took their pre-wedding, actual day photography and videography. The makeup artist from Armadale is quite good. Look for Ramy. She did my makeup for pre-wedding. If you would like to look for other make-up artist, you can try Sharon Wong from Wedding Isle. She did my actual day morning + night makeup. Her charges are RM1000 for 2 sessions – 1 makeup and 1 hairdo for morning, 1 makeup + 2 hairdos for night.

my church is sib , not sure can use the new church or not as it is still under construction, or else might just go elsewhere to rent the hall, going to start my counselling class soon, in january 06. i just discussed with my FH, he doesn't like me to search the whole malaysia to look for MUA, so most likely i will stick to armadale.

what happen to u lynn on your big day? i am not lee kuen student at all, just newly joint this forum for information and happened came across this forum and got the whole list, that is why called one by one even jasmine too. Jasmine is RM550, so she is the cheapest, still need to discuss with my FH. i am christian not a catholic, sib stand for Sidang Injil Borneo (SIB). my church is sibkl to be exact, here is the link http://www.sibkl.org.my/htm/home i would only take photo on my actual day, so i need to make sure i look ok on my actual day, or else my entire album will destroy by my bad hairdo and make up.

Hi gals,
Sorry I know MUA had been posted b4 but too many pages to read all of them liao.
Not sure if my question may sound silly or not................. Will MUA stay till you change your evening gown to change your hair style & touch up on make up?
I'll be having 3 outfits, 1st is Kebaya (to welcome the guests), 2nd is the Wedding Gown (for march in) & 3rd is evening gown. So i'm just wondering if the MUA will or can stay till the evening gown segment to change your hair style for you?
I'm also looking for a MUA for my Kuching AD ............. I only know that Ally is the only bride from kuching, wonder who else can help?

culture rich! in some ways yes my family members are very 'Peranakan-ians'. my family only speaks English & malay with mix of hokkien at home. they all cant speak chinese to save their lives! but i studied mandarin in school thats how i know to speak.
but honestly most peranakan i know are very very 'pantang' people.............. even me sometimes

Affect wedding, no lah. Peranakan are still chinese, just that we have our own set cultures only. There are many kinds of peranakan, as for me I'm hokkien-peranakan.
Most people thinks that peranakan people are very very open minded, but its not true loh my family can be very fussy on some minor issues as well.

baba,
you are right that baba-nyonya can be very pantang! my baby sitter is peranakan too, a christian, but very pantang wor.. and observe all chinese customs and rules.
about the MUA, normally you need to pay them extra if you need their service to change your style adn touch up (MU). Otherwise, the MUA will teach your sister to help you change hairstyle and touchup- my mua provided me those powder, lipstick , accessories etc.. adn taught my sister how to change style for me. simple simple one lar

Hey Guazi! Long time no hear from u liao, how are you?
Also happy new year to you yah!
About MUA, I've just contacted Mico so we are still discussing on it. Now I'm thinking of either get Mico or my BS MUA (Jimmy) who is highly recomended & I like his style (but he is more ex lah). So still very initial, will look see look see around.
I just ordered (tailor) my Kebaya on Sat, I order a bright red kebaya which cost me S$320. I heart pain , my hubby asked me you sure you really want? I said yes, I never wore a Kebaya b4 so must take this opportunity to wear one, then he paid for it. To think that to spend $320 on a 'dress' my heart pain lah................
