  1. Can you please share with me the Ipoh Tailor contact? Thank you
  2. Yes I did! And I'm very very glad I did too. She's a really really nice lady. Actually, its not really buying online as I went to meet her so she could take my measurements. I also got to try a few of the gowns that she had available so make sure its something I want. The only part online was that I could take my time to choose the design I wanted and to communicate and make appointment to meet her.

Hi Geri, Can you email me more front and back pic as well as the size? Thanks! email is: happyhappyhen@gmail.com
  4. its ok, thanks anyway bunnynwife. :) how about the earlier ring I bought? overpriced? I'm still in love with this no cert ring, coz its from someone special and will be my engagement ring. :)
  5. hello all... Is it important to have certificate for diamond? Recently my FH bought me a diamond as an engagement ring, its not certified by GIA/AGS but in-house grading by SK (in Singapore) I'm not sure if its a cheap bargain buy, but I'm contented coz it was more than what I expected and its looks clear and sparkling.. best of all, it was within budget. :) Colour: Near colourless (this is mentioned on the receipt, the salesgirl mentioned it is between G,H colour) Cut: No mention Clarity: VS-SI Carat: 0.49 bunnynwife, perhaps you can advise me if this is OK price to pay? I know the specs I provide here is not very clear, but that's all that is stated. We paid S$969 for this ring. Thinking of getting a pair of earrings but not sure if its worth it. I also own a small 0.3 something(less than 0.35, but dont remember exact), F color, A Cut above the rest, H&A diamond which I bought few years ago from US, www.whiteflash.com.. the thing is when I look through the scope at both diamonds, they look almost the same, as in sparkle. The 0.49 diamond is obviously bigger in size, but otherwise, can't really tell the difference. Someone please teach me some tips on how to look at diamond besides the certificate? I'm wondering if I paid a lot for the whiteflash diamond and kena ripped off coz I remember it costing about USD$550-580 and the setting was almost S$350...
  6. congrats on your interview! wish you all the best... nowadays job market is not so good, but having interview is at least a 1st step.. mb is a nice place to come to and the ji muis here always never fail to help cheer one another up... planning for wedding will be a tough but memorable event, hope u enjoy it to the fullest! (i havent reach that stage yet, so i cant say i know how it is like, but i imagine it will be an exciting event...and hopefully, my turn will come in a few yrs time. my wedding plans shelved coz of economy downturn... not enough savings to hold wedding so have to wait...)
  7. hold on hold on.... please don't think of killing yourself... its not worth it and will not solve your problems. your main worry now is looking for a job as well as preparing for your wedding. take 1 thing at a time and slowly try to resolve them. Perhaps, you can try talking to your family so that they can share your burden. I don't know yr mum but generally, family are closest and will stand by u in hard times, so if u tell them, then no need to wonder on the streets, at least can do more productive things. So, unless your mum really minds face more than her daughter, if nt can try tell her i guess. i think u r making an effort nt to quarrel w yr fh, that's a good and positive sign! work on gal... i'm sure those quick tempers are due to stress on both parties. i don't know how else to advise u, but hope this will encourage u, the job market wl become better la... if no job now, then plan for yr wedding, try to make it the best from yr budget! Jiayou ok!
  8. me too.. i felt tears in my eyes after reading this. this also reminded me of one of my closer colleagues at the office. She lost her fiance after pak-tor for many years and they were intending to get married next yr. It was so sad... had a heart attack and then gone just like that.
  9. i was in a ldr too for a few years... we just had to make do with phone calls and skype or msn. everytime we met again, it was always the rust of feelings to being in love once again. but everytime we had to leave, i remember always being in tears. u really need a lot of trust and other activities on your own, so that you are not clingy to each other. now, we are finally in 1 place. :)
  10. reading what u wrote reminds me of a distant relative's wedding I went to years ago. It was the only wedding I ever remembered. The place, ambience was totally turn off and they had karaoke even, but the food ws good good good.. till today, that's the most memorable wedding dinner i went to. no other dinner had such great food.
  11. Pigeon has PES bottles for Peristaltic teat I think....
  12. Technically speaking, there is no shelf-life for plastic materials. But for baby bottles, it is encourage to change every 3-6mths, just like what the other gal mentioned. This is because the bottles get scratched or damage during usage, and that's when bacteria will grow in this parts. Otherwise, if you take very good care of your bottles, they can last longer. For those whose bottles are very scratched, should change earlier. For teats, should always check before giving to child. Generally, also should change every 3 months, becoz frequent usage. If baby bites teats too much, then have to change more often.
  13. Hi, just would like to share some info i obtained from a source (I do not want to mention name) regarding the mom little ones BPA free bottles, it is made of PP (polypropylene) and the thickness of the bottle seems is only good to use as breast milk storage bottle which means it is more suitable for cold liquid. The heat resistance is quite low and does not qualify to be use as a feeding bottle. Constant heating and sterilizing will shorten the lifespan. PP is a very common material and cheap, you can see a 1 liter water tumbler made of the same material sold in hypermarket shelves for less than RM8.00. The texture is soft and that's why they recommmend to change every 6 months. Bottle tend to get weaken when constant heating and sterilizing. So if you intend to use PP bottles, make sure the thickness of the bottle is strong enough for longer usage. I'm not sure about mom little ones BPA free bottles, but in my work, I do come into contact with bottle manufacturing. Actually, what your source mention is 1/2 true, 1/2 not true. Yes, heat resistance for PP bottle is low, but it is weak when it is cold, rather than when it is hot, because the freezing temp for PP is not good. So, when the bottle is kept in refrigarator at cold temp, it become brittle. Hot at 100 degC is still OK, not much affected. All bottles, whether PP, PC or others will weaken when there is constant heating then cooling. As for PP thickness, yes, you are right, thin PP bottles are generally made for temporary use, whereas those thicker and made using a different manufacturing method are for permanent type. Just some infor on BPA, what I heard is the BPA affects when high temperature is place into BPA materials like PC and then this chemical leaks out. If using it for normal purposes, its does not leak and is stable. ANyone who know about chemicals can shed some light on this?
  14. Hi, Could any of the girls here living in Ipoh please help? Need to find someone to deliver catered food to home in taman cempaka, ipoh as my FH's dad is growing old and not able to go out and eat outside anymore, due to sudden illness. Seems like memory lapses as well. Does anyone know of any caterers willing to send food? there's no one available to take care of him as my FH is working in SG and he's the only child. very worrying for us as it seems like he is growing more and more absent-minded and very stubborn. we thought of sending him to a nursing home (although it is quite expensive and we are stretching our limit to do so ) so that care could be better but he refuses and say he'd rather die... we are really at wits ends already! seems like currently some guy he met in the street offered to buy food for him now, but its very fishy, and the guy keeps borrowing $. Very worrying for us coz we don't know what he's doing. Can any jimuis here help? thanks so much everyone...
