    PS in shenzhen

Hi o2bebe, I had my pre-wedding photo shooting in shenzhen. It is a great experience as it was like travelling while shooting. I felt I was treated like a VIP client as they provide 1 to 1 service, honestly I prefer to sign up for overseas PS than in local BS as you get more with the same amount of money paid. I got my whole package through a friend as she is running a business for overseas shooting in shenzhen. Which studio in shenzhen did you signed up with? You better check with them personally in what to bring and what kind of things they are providing in the package. But my experience, basically they provided everything for the shooting, included the eye lashes which normally would be charged here in the local BS. Just my opinions ;-) Hope you will have a great shooting!
  2. Hi Snowie, I am also thinking of DIY my guestbook, but no idea how to do it. I am thinking of buying a ready made blank scrap book and decorate it with ribbons and wrappers. If there is anyone done a DIY guestbook before please share with me ya! Thanks.
  3. Hi Hoonkey, Thanks loads! Coincidencely I am also planning to shop in Shenzhen, but in mid-April . From the forum I got to know that there are wedding gowns shop in Dongmen, perhaps you want to look around. I will drop by that place to look for suitable gowns. If you have any additional info or contact, do let me know ya!
  4. Hi beautifulgown, Where is the maker from? Have you bought any dress from him before? Did you went to his shop personally to try out the dress? I am thinking of online ordering, but afraid that the dress cannot fit well later on. So since I will be travelling to Shenzhen soon, planning to shop around that place for suitable dresses.
  5. Dear All, Has anyone bought wedding gown or evening gown from Shenzhen before? Please kindly share the address & contact if you have this experience. Normally how much is the WG or EG in China? Is the quality good? Thanks!
  6. Hi All, I really need to make a decision soon on MUA. If you have any make up photos by Sam, Mandy, Tammy or Joseph, please share with me at sokyin@gmail.com. Many thanks!!
  7. Hi All, Does anyone engaged with Angela Kang before? Recently my friend recommended her to me but I feel she is charging a bit more expensive than others. RM300 for day & RM300 for night (includes makeup & hair-do, come to your destination). Additional request for bridesmaid or others are being charged RM100 per head. Any comment on the her prices & skills? Thanks!
  8. Hi shirey82, Currently I am looking for a suitable MUA, in terms of skills & price. Hope you are still available to PM me your trial photos from Joseph? Thanks!!
  9. Hello, Anybody has experience with Hydro Majestic hotel in Penang? Among so many hotels this may not be the popular one, but if you guys had been to any wedding dinner or own wedding dinner at this hotel, please help to give some opinions. Thank you!
  10. Hi All, Initially I was interested in having my wedding reception at Gurney hotel ballroom. Under the waiting list, I was being informed recently that the ballroom has been booked by a couple. Hence the sales person offering me another option by taking the function hall with the same price as the ballroom package. I feel it is not fair to pay same amount with a smaller place. I had viewed both the ballroom & function hall, obviously ballroom ceiling is much high & it is more grandly. The function hall is a combination of 4 function room. The sales person is trying to convince me to take the function hall by upgrading some of features in the package, eg. corkage waiver, full-arched flower, better deco and etc. I am kind of ironic right now whether to accept the offers given by paying the same amount. Please help to advice? Many thanks...
  11. Hi there... Anybody had attended or had their own wedding reception at the following 3 hotels below: 1) Sheraton 2) Traders 3) Cititel Which is the best among the 3 in terms of package & food? Many thanks
  12. Hi Rhea, I have already PM you! Hi bgw, I have also checked on E&O, but it is out of my budget. No further information on it, sorry...
  13. <br /><br /><br /> Thanks for the info given. Do you think worth to tailor-made, and it be reuse after the wedding? When is your wedding? Have you found your gown already? Have you surveyed Sol Cover? I heard that they are also providing renting services, but not sure on the prices. I will try to visit the shops that you have mentioned and decide which is the best. Thanks again!
  14. Hi All, I am from Penang and I need recommendations on renting or tailor-made evening gown. Is it worth to tailor-made or just rent the evening gown? Where to tailor-made & rent? What is the price range between the both? If you have any recommendations on any good websites, please share with me. Thanks in advance!
  15. Hi All, I am going to get married end of this year in Dec and currently started surveying on wedding banquet preparations. My budget is below RM700, and lower if possible for approx. 30 tables. Recently I have surveyed a few hotels. I had viewed some of their wedding receptions like G-hotel, Cititel & Gurney hotel. And I have a few more quotations on other hotels like Berjaya Georgetown, E&O & Evergreen. After viewing the 3 hotels, I think G-hotel is the best as in terms of environtment & their interior designs looks modern & unique. But overall in price(RM688++ per table), they are charging extremely high in corkage, RM45++ per bottle of liquor! Which is a ridiculous! In that case we would have to pay approx. additional RM2700 just for corkage charges. Whereby Cititel is only charging a flat rate for corkage, only RM300 & Gurney hotel RM800 for the whole package. I think it would be more reasonable to charge flat rate for corkage. After viewing these few hotels, at the moment I think Gurney is acceptable for me. Any feedback from you guys of which hotel in Penang is best in terms of price & food? And please also share opinions if any of you have actually had their wedding at Gurney hotel? Thanks!
