  1. i went dere just now, but sadly i could find wat i want. they have more high end & luxury stuff. frm wat i observe, there isnt many promotion. u can get the same offer outside. wasted my time... agree....wasted time n my parking money which cost so much !!! price similar to outside,,say only promo price la home dec price la...those SA tot as if we never do homework 1...always press us to sign up n lock the price... mind i ask, what product are you refering to that is similar price as outside? i am thinking of booking some stuff there
  2. yes, concrete base and with tiles for the top. i am on the assumption that solid surface and granite are using the mdf/ wood as the base. thats what the contractor always tell me, seems that they never suggested concrete bottom with solid surface or granite.
  3. babysiew, your case is similar like mine, i have 1 kitchen setup only, my opinion is i have no choice to go for concrete top due to the fact that a lot of cooking will be done in that kitchen. a concrete top will last longer and able to take those choppings better than the one built with solid surface or granite or worse still those wooden top. Cant really have a super nice kitchen if you want it to be effective, so end of the day you have to decide to make your kitchen functional or decorative.
  4. the motion sensor i bought is 'pet friendly'. anything less than 15 kg go pass, it will not trigger the alarm. but too bad, now my dogs getting bigger and heavier , so it is still possible for it to trigger the alarm when it is running around.
  5. , yup, thats my AD, cant think of a nick, so just put my AD. may i ask too what are the price range for these ID services and what do they provide? pm me if you prefer to keep this confidential. thanks again
  6. i agree with you, that for new house and if you plan to do renovation, best is to use wired. for wireless, if you dont change the battery, you may get false alarm. as for the alarm system using GSM, i have thought of it before, but i dont really see an advantage to use GSM over normal phone line. if its a prepaid, you still have to regularly top it up and also transfer the credit to your own phone (since you may not need a lot of credit there). For postpaid line, you have to pay monthly charges, so might as well use home phone line. any opinion anyone ?
  7. babysiew, once you are done with your id, pls share with me their details, i am thinking of getting an ID for the drawing and then get a contractor to do based on the drawings. thanks
  8. well, not the whole house, as long as the area you didnt touch, it should be ok. however depends on how you argue also when it comes to claiming warrranty on the defects, the developer can say that its your renovation that caused the problem. so end of the day, who got the loudest voice, wins anyway, you can just call up the developer office to clear this with them first.
  9. small hacking such as for wiring should be ok i guess, if you are talking about extention, most likely warranty will be void for that section
  10. guys, bear in mind that the package price offerred is just for their cabinets. additional stuff such as hacking, wiring, wet works are not included, so you most likely have to pay a bit more.
  11. same here too .. pls send the pics to me as well ofussion@gmail.com thanks
  12. pls send to me as well. ofussion@gmail.com thanks
  13. is it because your water pipes concealed in the walls are leaking?
  14. i too signed my curtain package during homedec, hopefully i wont experience the same thing. I was considering the curtain company u mentioned, but ended up i opted for baagus due to more choices of cloth. Not much choices of shops there, only 3 curtains shops around. how come u didnt go for baagus ?
