  1. Hi jess_kitkat, Get the quilt cover. It is not advisable to put your comforter in your washing machine. You would need to send it for laundry. The quilt cover is better because you can wash it in your washing machine and hang it out to dry. I bought a comforter set but due to the trouble of washing the comforter, I ended up buying a quilt cover to put on my comforter. Easier to wash.

Dear Avolet, Did you buy the water heaters a long time ago? Cos the price quoted by the shop that i went to is less than that.. I dislike cleaning up the mess too ... even drilling holes to put up the curtain rail in my existing living room .. made all the furniture dusty... :wacko3:
  3. It is good idea to replace the chain-link fence with brick wall fence but make sure to allow plenty of ventilation else the clothes will take a long time to dry. I saw many houses would put up about 5-6 ft high brick wall and then grill up to roof for the back yard. I can't do that because of the garden. Dear kaybee, Yup. Have to make sure got plenty of ventilation. That's why i am wondering whether the type of roof I choose will affect the drying of the clothes. If within budget, will tile up otherwise just do cement flooring. I dun plan to do gardening cos I dun have a green thumb. Even my money plant which i put in the hse oso die. :wacko3: Will probably only plant some pandan leaves in a pot. Need them for 'tong sui' and making chicken rice.

Dear Avolet, I have not used water heater with pump before so i wud not know how loud is the 'fun' sound. Can u tell me how much did u buy your water heater and where's the shop? We hav 4 bathrooms but using 3 only. I prefer to install only 3 water heaters but hubby says one time install all easier. No need to clean the mess so many times wor. Men!
  5. When my sis painted her new apartment, she was recommended to use Nippon Satin Glo (i think). If your walls are not very smooth, Ici Pearl glo will 'highlight' the uneveness of your wall. Nippon will be better wor. The paint didn't smell that strong either. Anyway, her house looks nice and i plan to use Nippon for my new hse. Haven't checked the price tho.
  6. Tks for sharing the pic of your 'yard'. I am also facing the similar problems as margarita90. I don't plan to extend the wet kitchen but is thinking of replacing the 'chicken fencing' with brickwalls up bout 6m high and putting grills. Can't decide on whether to put up roof with tiles or those polycarbonate roofs. Polycarbonate roofs will be brighter but warmer and noisier when it rains. We are also worried about ppl climbing in cos sometimes i hang the laundry in the evenings. I have not actually asked for any quotations and all cos we haven't got the keys to our house.

Dear Avolet, Can u tell me what kind of problems you were facing with your Alpha water heater? I am thinking of getting the Alpha water heater with pump. Still deciding between the S200EP series or the S300EP series. My hubby is leaning towards the S300EP series cos of the silent jet. Is the S200ep series that noisy? Thanks for your help!
