  1. Hi, I'm new to this forum. The reason I joined this forum is to gain more knowledge about pregnancy, babies and parenthood. Recently I posted a reply in one of the thread, and the response I get is rather "disrespect" to me. Did I ask the wrong question? I think I had repeat my question nice enough...But I still feel offended. Worst still nobody in the thread comment anything about the reply. http://www.malaysiabrides.com/forum/index....13572&st=60 So, this is what this forum is like? Unlike other forums where members can discuss, and ask questions freely? Over here we are only allowed to agree, nod and agree? I'm really angry to see the reply, and very disappointed with this forums.
  2. Hi, I think u have misunderstood my questions. What I meant was, is it necessary for preggers to go to KKIA for health records purposes? Is it necessary for the health ministry to keep records of every malaysian preggers for their own purposes? And By not attending KKIA will it do any differences? Actually a lot of ppl are going to both private and government for checkups, not only preggers, but also normal body checkup. I just want to know by going to gov, besides cost saving, what are the other benefits and importances. Thank You By all mean please do so. You will help to reduce the workload of KKIA staff and waiting time for the pregnant ladies. Sorry, I don't get what u mean. Since you have already decided to deliver at a private hospital under a private doctor care. It is really no point to pay a visit to KKIA. KKIA is manned by mainly nurses and sometime a medical officer. Their care is definitely not superior than your private specialist. By going to KKIA this will increase their workload since they have to do the same antenatal follow up routine again at the KKIA. These antenatal follow up don't add any value to your care because you are already under good care by a private specialist and moreover you don't eventually deliver at a public hospital. KKIA is always congested and your visit will definitely increase the waiting time of others who actually want to have antenatal follow up and delivery at public hospitals.

  4. Hi all Just wan to make sure, why is it so important to make a visit at klinik kesihatan ibu dan anak? Can't I just have all my checkups at private hospitals/clinics, until I give birth? I plan to give birth at private hospital, as well as to have my baby's injections there.
  5. Hi I'm aware of the hazards posed by EMF. But I couldn't imagine my life without laptops (wifi), hp, microwave and TV. I use them almost everyday. But I limit myself to use laptops not more than 3 hours, and every 1 hour or so i would stand up and walk around in the room. Im not a heavy user on HP, I only use it to sms, and very seldom to call. Microwave is a great helper in kitchen, thus i would just stay a few meters away from it..haha..just to assure myself, eventhough i noe that EMF is still there. I watch TV everyday..it is my best companion during my pregnancy. So, to answer ur question, I'm aware of it but not so worry. Like 1 of out members said, "radiation is everywhere, even if u don't carry a HP, other ppl around u do"
  6. Hi, Happy for ur healthy baby. About ur worries, I'm sorry that I cant help much because i'm not yet a mom. But i have a suggestion here, why don't u store ur BM at night, for ur baby to have the next day when ur supplies are low? Another thing is why are u not having alcohol? aren't alcohol added in ur confinement food? I'm not sure if alcohol helps in producing BM, but it definitely warm up ur body, and help u gain energy that u loss during delivery.
  7. Amy, Happy to hear that u have made ur decision. If i were u i would do the same also. Enjoy ur CNY. so, u r from miri??
  8. how come in east malaysia can't join? did it mention in the terms and conditions? I'm interested lah..but february is too soon.
  9. Bao B, Hi. Just to give u some of my opinions, as I was taken care by a nanny who is also my auntie (my mom's sister) till i was 9 years old. After 9 years staying at her house, I moved back home, but sometimes I do go back and stay for weekends, or school holidays, I would also help her taking care of other toddlers. My auntie was an experienced nanny, since I was already the 5th kids she taken care of, and many other kids after me. I couldn't remember my early years with her because I was too young that time, but I do remember sometimes she would go out with my cousins, and leave me and other cousins (meaning her kids, all grown ups that time) at home. My mom came to visit me once or twice a day, and from what I remember my auntie would told her what i had done that day, whether i cried, i fell down or i quarrel with neighbours' kids, including whether my auntie went out and leave me with my cousins. I think my mom isn't worry about me alone at home with cousins is because they are all my relatives, and of course they won't do anything that will harm me or put my life at risk. When I help my auntie taking care of other toddlers when i grew up and i see how she interact with their parents, I was really glad that I was taken care of by her. So, It is not that a if ur nanny is also ur relative means it is a bad thing, but it is the nanny itself tat counts, whether the nanny is a responsible one, caring, and most important honest. I am not working currently and I plan to take care of my baby on my own, but if I change my mind to start working and hire a nanny, it is 1 of my relatives that I will consider first. But of course is someone that I know, i mean close relatives.
  10. ya,the material is quite good.
  11. Since you mentioned that your MIL isn't experienced in confinement care, then I think you should hire a cofinement lady. How much does it cost for a confinement lady at ur area? At the area I lived is 2000 to 2500, I think it is worth while since the confinement lady will stay with you throughout the month, not only cook for you,but also cook for relatives who are paying you and your baby visit. What do you think?
  12. Hi, thanks for ur explanation. Does wearing non-wired bra, will it cause boobs shape to change? Ive always wear wired 1.
  13. is maternity bra and nursing bra the same thing? I'm only 10 weeks pregnant, my boobs did increase in size, and i tink it is still increasing now, because sometimes i feel sore in the morning. I've bought new bra with bigger cup, it is wired and padded. If my boobs continue expanding, then I would have bras with so many sizes after I give birth, isn't it? So what do you all do with all the bras?
  14. What I heard about this black fungus is that it is not suitable for pregnant ladies, because it cleanse our blood. But how does it affects our body or our baby, I'm not sure. Anyone heard about this ?
