  1. Actually, most Stainless Steel kitchen sink, the hole is manually punched. Because some ppl prefer the tap on the left, some prefer on the right. The taps sold in Sg comes from all over the world, America, Europe, China, Malaysia, Japan. No standard size and mounting method. Therefore, installation is really ad-hoc, and the sink hole for the tap is always punched out based on tap size. Come to think of it.. these days ppl dun mount tap onto the sink. Most installation these days are undermount, and the tap goes onto the solid surface countertop directly. This is actually better becuase the countertop is very rigid, whereas the sink is just a thin steel plate. Overtime, the tap will come loose.
  2. Err.. the edge of the base of toilet bowl and the floor MUST be sealed. Can consider use this. http://www.selleys.com.au/Selleys-No-More-...om/default.aspx Use acrylic sealant instead of silicone sealant, as silicone sealant got tendency to grow mold, and impossible to remove. If dun seal, then water enter inside.. and no chance to evaporate.. will be kinda damp smell all the time. sori.. I am from Singapore.. dunno anyone in KL.
  3. Another common cause is insufficient sealing between the toilet bowl and the sewer pipe underneath. The pipe comes up from the bottom of the floor like a floor trap. The toilet bowl outlet opening is placed directly over the sewer pipe. Sometimes, due to misalignment, this joining is not 100% airtight. Therefore, need to check if there is any airleak from this joint. But, if there is airleak, usually holy water will also come out occasionally. Are u sure the fragrance is from the toilet bowl? the floortrap is also connected to the same sewer system. the floortrap usually has a U trap at the bottom that is always filled with water. this water creates a airlock so that the fragrance from the sewer system does not get out through the floor trap. Sometimes this U trap got no water (either leak through crack or long time no use water = evapourate). This type of water filled U trap is also found under the sink. sometimes, some workers blur blur connect aircon waste water pipe or shower waste pipe direct into the sewer pipe, instead of to the floor trap. Just take note that all connection must be into the floortrap, then must have a water filled U trap, before it goes into the sewer pipe.
  4. There is suppose to be a 4 inch diameter vertical pipe to the roof called the Vent Stack. This pipe channels the foul smell within the sewer pipe to the roof and throws it out to the open. Sometimes, this pipe is unwittingly sealed off, becuase many ppl tink it serves no purpose. If this vent is sealed off, when u flush, the poo poo is forced into the sewer pipe. The air inside must go somewhere. If the vent stack is sealed off, then this foul air is forced back into the bathroom. http://www.unitcare.com.au/bp_strata_maint...g_drainage.html Therefore, pls check if the vent stack is working properly. The other reason is lack of cross ventilation. For air to leave a window, there must be new fresh air entering the room, usually through the door. If there is no air movement, then u need exhaust fan to mechanically suck out the foul air.

  6. Storage heater is used under the following situations. The basin mixer also requires hot water. instant heater cannot supply 2 mixer (shower + basin) as the flow control valve is before the heater. Filling a bathtub with hot water using instant heater. The flow rate is simply not enough to keep the water warm. Rainshower system requite a high flowrate to get the optimum effect. Instant shower is normally capped at 8 or 9 L per minute.
