  1. Hi all, I wish to share my experience about my CL. She's in her late 40s and claimed she has >10 years experience, but only found out that she takes in 3-4 jobs a year only. We also didn't know that she takes 4D numbers as her side income. So, there were a lot of phone calls. At times when she was holding my baby and there was a phone call, she would pass the baby to me in a hurry so that she can answer the calls. When she's done with cooking and baby is asleep, she would either watch TV with me (at 1 time, I was watching something else, she asked me to change channel coz she wanted to watch drama). If not TV, she would be busy writing the 4D numbers in the guest room while i rested near my baby in the living room. After cooking, she doesn't clean the floor or the stoves. So, there were a lot of stains and my hubby/MIL had to clean up. I didn't quite enjoy the meals also because there weren't much variety. Every mornin, it's either mi sua or mihun soup with pork. Lunch, I would hv 1 main dish and occasionally, soup. Otherwise, it's just rice and 1 dish. Same goes to dinner. Even double boil soup is on occasional basis. when I think of eating, I want to vomit bcoz I am already bored of it, especially rice every single meal, everyday. Talking about breastfeedin, she seems to discourage it bcoz she said my breastmilk causes my baby to poo a lot and thus, frequent diaper change. She also said bcoz of the heaty things i eat, my breastmilk also causes my baby to be super heaty, thus the abnormal poo and that, my baby isn't digestin my milk. Feeling sad for my baby, I have to feed my baby with formula. When i ask my lactation consultant, she said it's normal for breastfed babies to have >6 wet nappies a day. Anyway, now I try to feed my baby with a mix of more breastmilk and less formula while limiting the heaty stuffs that I eat. When I finish pumping milk, she doesn't even wash it. I have to wet my hands or get my hubby to wash and sterilize them. Overall, I would not recommend my CL. I was very discouraged with the negative things she said about me and baby, especially when my emotions were sensitive at that time. Regretted not meetin up prior to engaging her thru my MIL's contact. Btw, my CL's name is Poh (017 2213 225). Only good thing about her is that she can handle my baby coz my baby is a fussy one.
  2. Hi, sorry to hear that you are experiencing this at such a crucial moment. If you have not found one, perhaps you want to try this contact (Mei Ling Jie - 016-3267797) introduced by my colleague. I wanted to book her when i deliver in June 2012 but she has been reserved by someone else at the same time. Understand that she is free now. Best of luck!
  3. Hi Yvonne, Can I have the CL's number too? Pls email me at li_hwa28@hotmail.com. Thanks.
  4. Hi miumiu wedding, Understand your feeling on this. Actually, i signed up with them last year during the expo as well. Feeling insecured to sign up the package on the spot, my hubby and i actually went over to the shop after the fair to check out the gowns. Once we are comfortable with it, only then we went back to sign up with them. I guess it's all individual preferences because at first, it was difficult for me to choose but somehow, their assistants know what's best to suit us and it all turned out really well. Moreover, when I went to try on gowns for my actual day, they had new gowns that I have not seen or tried earlier. So, that gives me additional choices to choose from. So, to all brides-to-be out there, it would be best to shortlist a few bridal shops and check out the gowns in the shop. Only then, decide if you wanted to sign up with them during the fair. That way, you won't feel cheated and disappointed.
  5. Hi trufa, i signed up with Stareast from the wedding fair in Midvalley early last year and then went for the photoshoot end of Sep 2010. All in, i would like to say I am very satisfied with the services provided, especially with Lily (the outlet manager for PJ branch). She's very friendly, is able to clear your worries, honest and tries her best to accomodate to your requests. I had my indoor shoot in KL and outdoor in Penang and all arrangements between the branches are good without you having to worry at all Of course, during the survey with the bridal shops, you have to make yourself clear by asking 101 questions. That way, you don't get yourself cheated with extra charges later on. So, have fun scouting for the right bridal shop for you!
  6. Hi LaiYee, thanks for the advice and comforting words. Just like you, my fiance and I also signed up from stareast at the wedding fair (about RM4K too). During the fair, they said I can choose the gowns either from KL or Penang. Since my fiance often travels around Msia for work purposes, I recently followed him to penang to check out the other 2 branches. You were right on the selection of gowns as they had very limited choices (Royal, Imperial and designer categories). When asked whether I can choose the ones in Penang, they said I have to check with KL as their accounts were different from one another . Anyway, based on your advice, I guess I will choose all my gowns from KL since I can also pick designer gowns (except for Eest). Nevertheless, the SAs in KL and Penang were very friendly (especially Bayan Point branch) and nice to assist us when we went to check out the gowns and place. Coincidently, Shino called me (about a month after signing up) to inform me that she will be serving me and that to call her if there's anything. Thus, I believe the service provided was so far so good. Anyway, i hope everything will turn out good throughout the whole process with Stareast. Wish me luck, ya!
