  1. Hi Roseisrose, Have you found the songs of your choice yet? I'm also looking for some upbeat songs for my pre-wedding montage and AD slides... I ever heard of a nice french song (light and easy to the ear) used in one of the montages that I have seen. But I don't know the name. Sigh...
  2. Fongster, sorry I don't have a photograph of Xin Restaurant when I was researching on the hotel for my up-coming wedding reception. However, I think you can ask from the person-in-charge of your event. They definitely will have some. However, it is suggested that you have a look at the venue personally to see if you like it. From what I remember, that venue has pillars which may block the view of the stage. Won't be much of a problem if your crowd is not too big though.
  3. Hi, can pm me the contact details too? Thanks a lot!
  4. Hi Lazybridee, May I have the details of your wedding band too? My e-mail add is brainycomet@yahoo.com. Thanks a lot!
  5. Hmm... to be fair to them, I did check whether with Michelle when I signed up at Mid Valley last month I'll need to hire sound system if I were to have a live band. She said it's better for me to rent sound system as the existing hotel system cannot serve musical instruments of the band. Yenic, think you better get your own.
  6. Sigh... so my family isn't the only one which is being plague by unwelcomed relatives and visitors. SummerRice: whenever being asked about the location of our place, we would just give them a rough idea eg. PJ. If asked further, we'll say SS2 or something that sort. Recently, group of six of those unwelcomed visitors purposely make a trip to KL after attending a wedding in Seremban. They didn't even bother making accomodation arrangement and just assume that they can stay at my place for the night! After my mum put down her feet to say no to it, my dad have no choice but to lead them to a service appartment in KL town. When we reached, they don't even bother paying and in the end my retired dad have to fork out the money to put them up at a service apartment. The next day have to bring them around and bring them for food. Yet, they are not happy and sulky cos they didn't get to visit my place. My suggestion is just tell those unwelcomed guests of yours, that your hubby is not comfortable with the crowd and suggest to meet out instead. They may be unhappy about the arrangment but more unhappiness would be caused to you if they were to hang out at your place right? I rather that the unwelcomed guests be unhappy than being unhappy myself. (just my 2 cents worth).
  7. SummerRice, I totally understand how you feel. But my case is worse, I'm not haunt by friends but relatives who are too eager to come and hog around my house. Since young, I witness my poor mum having to clean up every time they come over and have to serve them like king and queen whilst their kids run all over the place messing up the loft. They will sometimes drop by a few hours to wait for their kids who went for tuition nearby and will start to scan through our things. Or they will turn up unexpectedly and say: "Oh, I came to visit you since you're so FREE at home". How I dread those days. Therefore, ever since we've relocated, we try to avoid keeping in touch with them. If wanna meet up, we'll meet outside. Till today, they don't know where we are staying after we've moved out from our hometown.
  8. Aiyoh, I haven't engage MUA :P. Mind if I add you girls on my MSN too?
  9. Joanne babe, Don't worry. I heard that the menu will be different from the usual package. Don't think the lost will be too drastic after add-ons on the dishes.
  10. When I went to Eastin to meet Michelle late last month, the staircase leading to the ballroom is already done. :)
  11. Hi Bamboo 88, May I know the contact details too? My e-mail is brainycomet@yahoo.com Thanks a lot!
  12. Hmm... Yenic, maybe you can try out Tropicana Golf & Country Resort. I love that place and the food they serve is heavenly. Too bad they don't have the date I wanted.
  13. Hi, I am interested especially the Cheong sam but your pictures cannot be viewed. Mind to send the picture and the price to brainycomet@yahoo.com?
  14. Thanks Amanda Angels and Joanne Babe. You girls sure give me some comfort. I will arrange for a food try out soon. Pray hard that things turn out right.
  15. Hi all, My fiance and I had a crazy time during the last three weeks looking for a suitable venue for our reception for our wedding next year. :wacko3: Initially decided to take up Concorde but at the last viewing of the ballroom, FFIL commented that there's a lot of pillars in the ballroom. So everything was back to the drawing room. We finally thought of Eastin and drop in for a visit during last weekend to view the ballroom. Everything seems to be fine at the moment and we are waiting for the sales and catering department to send to us the quotation. What I am worried now is the food and service as I have never been to Eastin for any reception. Any brides who are kind enough to share with me their experience? I hope things turn out right this time.
