  2. Hi! I've just had my wedding last month at Cyberview Lodge. I hired EC Events to do my ballroom deco, we had transformed the whole ballroom into our theme and romatic mood. If you like, do check them out! PM me if you are interested.
  3. Just to share with you songs that I've used for my wedding; 1) Garden Ceremony : Canon In D and Wedding March (after the exchanged of vows) 2) Ballroom Grand entrance : Fly me to the Moon, Frank Sinatra 3) First Dance : Can't take my eyes of you, Frankie Vallie
  4. Hi Low, Here are some photos from my wedding at Cyberview. This photographer was hired by Cyberview to take my wedding deco photos. I accidently found his posting online. Kind of a surprise! ;) He has shot some nice pictures too! I'm still waiting for my own photographers to get my photos ready. Till then, will post more if there's any brides who required more pictures feeding!
  5. Hi :) I've just had my wedding last month on June 1st, 2008. I deal with Fiona too! She is a very nice & friendly lady. Infact she is the 3rd person I dealed with from Cyberview since my booking with them a year ago. You will need min 25 tables for the ballroom. I only had 23 tables (including VIP table). We paid full for 25 tables, the extra 2 tables Fiona was kind to allow us to dine after our wedding. The venue is beautiful especially the garden set-up. That was one of our first reason to go with them! The ballroom is a bit old, and we feel the lighting was too dim. We decorated the whole ballroom, and added more lighting! ;) One thing you may need to look into is that, their projector on the right is older and less focus. Cyberview have yet replace new ones. So you will see a contrast of quality and sharpness if you intend to project videos or photos.
  6. ceetee!! Very impressive DIY!! Almost like buying off the shelf quality! :) You girls motivated me to DIY something for my wedding too! After seeing so many creativity from brides... I'll probably do my own DIY guestbook. Hahaha!! Hopefully it turns out good!
  7. Hi ChrisandBen, May I have the contact that your SIL used for traditional urut? I've heard it helps... just wanna give it a try as I'm desperate to get my arms and tummy in shape! My wedding is less than 2 months!!
  8. In my opinion, it is useless to have a wedding planner if you are good in resouring and planning yourself. I paid RM5k for a full service wedding planner, which include conceptulising my dream wedding. But very dissapointed with her as I was not getting what I want. In the end, I had to resource vendors myself, think of ideas to make my wedding unique, update my wedding planner on status of work, budgetting etc... Afterall, the wedding planner only works as administrator. I end up doing all the job and she get paid!!! I'm the bride and customer!!! And she didn't even reply my emails fast..usually have to wait a long time. and she also have no time to meet me, too busy with other weddings wor!! So, if u are thinking to get a WP better check with people who had used them before, or else end up like me.
  9. Yeap! Save The Date Card is best send 6 months before your wedding date. We announced our engagement to close friends and family about a year early. We then sms our overseas guests 8 months ahead so that they are well informed in advance. I only officially send our STD cards in mid January, my wedding is in June. After receiving our STD, most of them replied to us that they have got their leave approved and tickets bought! I guess the timeline turn out pretty well!! Hahaha!! Am now rushing for my invitation cards. Hopefully can deliver in April, two months before the wedding! p/s: Here's how my Save The Date looks like. ;)
  10. Wow!! RM40 for the Hei stamp is pretty costly! Yeah!! Must use it to the fullest!!!!! Hmmm... Maybe can be use on the following too: Guest book (stamp on every page corner)RSVP card , Thank you card, Save The Date CardCreate personalised wedding favor tags (stamp & DIY cut a round shape. Tie a ribbon on it. Then write your TQ note)Invitation CardMenu cardLocation MapJust stamp on anything and everywhere that you can stamp!! Have fun STAMPING!!!
  11. Hi genielee, I'm not sure if you meant save the date card instead of announcement card. What is your purpose for the card? From my understanding, SAVE THE DATE is to inform your guest much earlier in advance before you send formal invitation card. This is to enable guests (esp overseas guests) to plan their time & trip to attend your wedding. Here is what I've done for my wedding. Hope it gives you an idea and help you to source your preference. ;)
  12. Hi. I've came across personalised wedding menu cum programme card during my friend's wedding last month. It is common to have wedding stationeries personalised since more and more couples opt for unique designs especially if you have your own theme, color or monogram. I'll be doing personalised wedding menu too. Have not started the design yet but will show you once it's done!
  13. I'm not sure if it is a common to have dancing at chinese wedding BUT I'm doing it! We are having a garden ceremony followed by traditional chinese dinner in the ballroom. I had arranged to build a dance floor in front of the stage. It need not to be a big one, just in case our malaysian guests too shy to let down their hair!! I think wedding is once in a lifetime event. Just do it if you want to dance. It's your wedding, make sure you enjoy it too rite? :)
  14. I guess the saying goes .... "Diamonds are girl's bestfriend"!! I'm not a diamond fan. I think my fiance has more knowledge of diamonds than me! He basicly searched around the world for the perfect cut, color, clarity and carat (I think the 4Cs) for proposal ring! Hahaha!! After proposal, he have to explained to me what diamond I was getting! Just to share with you, he bought me a Brilliant Rose diamond from Singapore. 1.0 carat, E color, VS2 for the price of SGD23k. I love the Brilliant Rose very much as it sparkles much more brilliantly than other diamonds when we compare next to it! I hope you find your diamond soon! Good luck!
