    Hi Kathy,

    Thanks for your advice.
That's a really good idea on adding lace to the bottom of dress! I guess I am just never a creative person. Thanks!
I guess when I want to use it again as a party dress, can just remove the lace :)
But would you happen to know where can I purchase the lace?

Also like the idea of adding ribbon - where do you recommend to buy?

    Thanks loads Kathy.
Now I have 2 workable dresses. But I'm just worried about wearing non white to ROM. What do you think?

    Hi Skye,

    Thanks for sharing your advice.
My parents are not the conservative type, they are okay.
Fiance is non chinese and his family is not from here. My guests mostly comprise of close friends. So I guess the concern of 'other people' doesn't exist for me.
But when I look at my friends' ROM pictures, most of the brides wear white. You mentioned that you are happy you are a little different that day, I am just worried my dark color will stand out so much that I will be unhappy to be different :( because at least your dress is light colored.
Even my fiance was asking me - why isn't my dress white or lighter color? To him, ROM is important because it's the day that we get married.
To me, the actual wedding date is more important because I get to wear a big white wedding gown.
*sigh, I am so frustrated now.
I keep thinking it's a once in a lifetime thing and I should do it right. What if I feel out of place during the ROM and end up regretting my dress choice forever.
Sounds petty, but I feel quite bothered by it. Initially my thoughts are that I want my dress to be fashionable - something I can wear again. So I bought really chic dress from Warehouse and was planning to wear it with a pair of nude / leopard print pumps from Nine West.
What do you think? Chic or should I conform to tradition? Will I regret if I went as Chic but end up looking foolish.

    Thanks Samantha.
Do you know the name of florist at Subang Square?

Seri Kembangan is pretty far from my house (Sunway D'sara). If you think that I can communicate my desired bouquet to Ellen via email and she can deliver, then I can give it try. Can you provide me with her number please?

    Thanks

    Hand Bouquet
    Hi,

My ROM is at Putrajaya during mid-Jan 2011.
Looking to get a hand bouquet for this.
    Any good recommendations on florist?

Preferred flowers are peonies & hydrangeas. Anyone had done a bouquet with these flowers before?

    Thanks

ROM Dress - color & length
    Hi,
I'm new to this. Doing the ROM in Putrajaya by mid-Jan 2011.
Starting to shop around for dresses, bought 2 dresses today but only then got reminded by fiance there seems to be a rule that dresses must fall below knees?
My dress is 2inches above the knee, will that still be okay?
Will wearing stockings be an option to cover up the knee?

My 2nd dress option is a black lacey dress, which is really nice. But my friend was saying that all brides wear white during ROM.
Is it acceptable to wear black?

    Thanks
