  1. Hi, I just had my wedding not to long ago and I also faced the same situation as you did. A word of advise here , better to have everything in black and white from the band you engage as in the list of songs to play and perhaps any dress code which you need them to adhere to . I did a mistake by not having my entertainer to list of songs to be played on my wedding night and also their attire. FYI , I was having my SHANGHAI ROMANCE theme for my dinner and I engage a band which always refer themself as " Professional and the best in the industry " and I dont want to mention names here. The wedding theme and preferred songs was made known to them during our meeting with them , but again it was my mistake of not having any black and white with them. I only emailed to them asking for the list of songs , but was asked to leave it to them as they said they know how to read the crowd and best to leave it to them. And I trusted them.......... To my surprise they perform PRICE TAG by Jessie J for SHANGHAI ROMANCE !!!! Totally out of the wedding theme !!!! This is totally unacceptable from someone who ask me to leave it to them " as they know how to read the crowd , and know what they are doing ". I've learn from my mistake ...So please do get some black and white from your band .
  2. Try this http://www.nava-k.com/2010/05/terasek-brickhouse-bangsar.html . I cant locate the one near Sri Paandi near Jln 11/4A. perhaps yr FH can drive around there and see. its located at a dead end. This was the scene from that house http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1267988414591.2040808.1076235418&type=3
  3. Hi..there is another one in SS 11 PJ which is similar to Seapark brick house . Been there once..quite nice.....
  4. Hi Michelle , Congrats on your wedding too. for 1000 pax , may I suggest Sinchoiwah in Bandar Menjalara Kepong. I'm having mine for 105 tables this may. Heard that they can even accomodate up to 140 tables. But this is a typical chineman style wedding reception style. Dont expect Hotel atmosphere ....
  5. I dont know whether this could help you or not. Have you thought of getting a convention hall instead and get a caterer to cook ? If yes try HGH in Sentul. Been there once , the interior is quite nice. Another friend of mine is getting also initially thought of getting married on 17-11 too , but in the end need to change to a week earlier as he cant get restaurants in KL too. Good luck !
  6. Your solid doors looks nice. How much you paid for it ? Mind sharing the contact ??? Thanks
  7. The price sounds kinda high to me. What I did was to engage a team of tiles workers of 3 and paid them on daily basis , and buy the tiles and necessary items. They just provide workmanship and labour only. FYI , your installation cost of 2 new WC is enough to pay for the day's salary. PM me if you need their contact at alan@eurosteel.com.my
  8. Thanks Amanda !! Already found one . Their idea quite blends in with our theme and Shanghai Angels . They would sorta transform the whole hall into a cabaret hall..... * PS PM me your Skype or MSN if you dont mind. We can start to work out something from there. 10Q

  10. Congrats on your wedding too. Their contact is periwinkle.design2007@gmail.com
  11. When is your wedding and your location too ???? IMHO RM900 could stretch you to far now adays , especialy if your are looking at hotels. Best bet would be Chinese Restautant. I'll be having mine this May at Sin Choi Wah Restaurant, Menjalara , Kepong , KL. Dont be put off by the chinese sounding name , but the food there is really good and have ample parking space ( opposite at Tesco ) . But the interior can be a bit put-off if you are comparing with a hotel. But well...wedding decorator is just a phone call away ! Let me share with you the menu which i got for 2012 RM 688 nett - Deluxe Four Season Combination , SHarkfin soup with crab meat , Steam Fish , Roast Duck with herbs , Bakes Prawns with Marmite , Braised 8 treasure vege , Fried rice , 2 x dessers RM 768 nett - Replaced Duck with Braised Pig Trotter with Sea cucumber , Replaced Braised 8 treasure Vege with Fish Maw and Mushroom , Replaced Fried Rice with Lotus Leaf rice RM 898 nett - Same as RM688 , but replaced Roast Duck with sucking pig , and Replaced 8 treasures with Brocoli and fish maw and mushroom and also glotinous rice... Good luck !
  12. No , We have opt to take that out from our wedding menu and replaced with mini FATT THIU CHEUNG which consist of chicken , small piece of ham ( For Thui ) , mushroom , dried scallop and fish maw and a slice of sea whelk. Cost almost the same as "sharkfins" and looks more presentable too. Also I would say 90% of the sharkfins served druing wedding dinner are fakes lar..why need to pay so much for something fake ? Also we have invited many business dignitaries and some VIP, and I doesnt want ended up being said to serve Fake's sharkfins for my wedding.

  14. Hi all, I recently went to the JPN office at Jalan Duta and enquired about applying for ROM procedures. As my IC is a KL address , while my fiance's IC bears PJ address , which falls under Selangor, was told by the officer in Jalan Duta JPN , I was told that we need to submit to both KL and Selangor JPN office for our application , as both our address falls under different state ! IS this true ??? I believe as for couples in KL , majority of them has either a KL and PJ/Subang/Klang etc ( Selangor address ) and also maybe some from other states as well. So what was your experience on this ?? Please help....and thanks in advance :)-
