Have been to local jewellers e.g. Diamond & Platinum, Tomei, Wah Chan & Poh Kong. Wondering why there is so much difference in the gems' prices - ranging from a few thousands to hundreds over thousands for stones of the same size. Anyone of you can share your experience with me? Highly appreciated.

I am confused. I used to think that engagement ring and wedding ring go to the same finger - left ring finger. But then again, it is awkward if I already have the engagement ring on my finger and he puts the wedding band on the same finger during ceremony, right? Anyone can tell me what the proper way is?

Need advice for church wedding too. What are the things we need to prepare?

I would prefer platinum as I have a white gold promise ring and the bottom part is turning yellowish day by day. However, me and FH find that the combination of platinum + rose gold is nice too! Saw a pair of platinum & rose gold wedding bands at Diamond & Platinum Mid Valley and another pair of totally different design at Love & Co Gardens which is also in platinum & rose gold. Love both designs very much but FH prefers Cartier which I don't really like. It is in platinum & rose gold too but just too simple. Guess all the guys likes plain stuff huh? Keep hunting!

I got proposed on Christmas day with a "dummy" proposal ring - the promise ring he gave me on the first V-day we celebrated together. This is because I used to tell him that I want to pick my own engagement ring when the day comes..hehehe.. I'm undecided between gemstone ring and diamond ring. I have always wanted a colored-stone ring but it seems like we have limited choice here in Malaysia (if you know any place that has wide selections of good gemstone ring with reasonable price, please let me know. Very much appreciated..) We went shopping yesterday and below are the quotes we got for diamond ring in platinum setting: - GIA .36ct, H, VS1, Triple EX, None fluorescence for RM4,339/- - LAZARE .35ct, I, VS2 for RM6,993/- - GIA .51ct, G, VS1, Triple EX, None Fluorescence for RM10,540/- - LAZARE .54ct, I, VS2 for RM13,872/- Which one do you think is the better deal? I personally think that the smaller one fits me better as my FH expects me to wear the ring everyday until the day we are officially married. :) Do share your thoughts..thanks..
