  1. I can advise it for friend's party and dinner, but if you have big huge family wedding dinner, i discourage it..
  2. I thought it was nice but this was my feedback : The Deco: The canopy is old and brownish dirty Table top stained and not outdated Flowers was fresh so its okay Vase was not nice The trees makes the surrouding nice Food I tasted the asian food, was okay, but doesn't worth RM1k per table at all. If you have uncles and aunties etc senior people for your wedding, trust me they wont enjoy it. Place is small and tables are scathered everywhere like an L Shapre. PA systema and projector only at front area small and can't be heard from the back of the place ( near the main entrance ) People can't see coz of the unusual place. Food were small portions Parking you need to pay rm5. can't fit more than 30tables will be too cramp.. Overall - Doesn't worth Rm1k per table. Decos are all too run down and discoloured. PA system was not up to par did not consider for other guest sitting else where The serve coffee or tea as the last dish after Dessert <--many guest left before this. How many people drink Cofee or Tee at 10.30pm at night ?... Try CIOW restaurant overlooking golf course... P.S I had to line up 15 people to go to the men's loo!! Certaily not worth RM1k per table more like RM600. You are paying for the trees and the house thats it!
  3. Hi Will be glad to help. Now, everyone wants a garden wedding me too. but our wedding ended up in Chinese restaurant was because :- 1)Too many relatives 2) Family want chinese food 3) Weather unpredictable 4) Family friend's all uncle and auntie. Anyway as for Oriental pearl, it is definately opposite garden wedding type. The deco isn't as nice as other Chinese restaurant but this restaurant menu sets are cheaper maybe rm100 pertable compare to other restaurant and it is Halal. At first, when i booked the place, i had doubt coz it looked dull. But during the wedding, everything turned out fine and look great. The restaurant itself can fit maybe 30 tables, more of it you will need to open the back hall which can fit another 20 tables. The bad side is, the main stage is pretty small in front and so is the projector. So what we did was we add anothe projector at the back of the hall. We pull another cable from the front all the way back. Also, this restaurant can't play laptop. So if you don't pull the projector cable all the way back, you will need to bring your own DVD player and projector as well if you want to have it shown at the back. The front stage already has a dvd player that can play movies and mp3. As for decoration, what i did was i engaged another suppier for table cloth for reception and main table to make it nice. The restaurant currently has a pink tbale cloth. Due to budget so we did not bring our own table cloth but we instead bought those tissue paper from ikea green color and pass to the restaurant and they will fold for us and arrange for us. Food RM699 package with Free Corcage As for the food, that night people was quite happy. I guess it all depends on luck as well as i been there before and the food was not that good. But for our wedding people quite like it. :)( i told them many dato' and dato seri coming ) so maybe they increase their food. Service They have 1 server for 2 tables or 4, cant remember but so far the only feedback i got from the guests were they were too fast in cleaning up the food.!but other than that it was good for me. The manager in charge for my wedding was helpful throughout the planning etc. I'd be glad to send you some pics if you want just drop me an email address! Also, the parking might be quite far for some of your guest as the one in front is only for 6 cars for wedding vip and the rest need to drop and park behind :) Cheers!
  4. i heard other wise, but anyway it was dry like stick when given to us on wedding day.
  5. the flowers are called hydrangeas...nice flowers..wifey chosed it..roses can last long.. just that when we got ours the foil wrapping it was dry..! Oh well..just becareful....ignorant vendors..
  6. nice place though. wanted to choose this but they had quota of 50 or 65 tables or something..can't remember. But honestly, if can don't do place where got joint wedding. Just my 2cents...if possible..chaos!
  7. Apparently a florist told us that these flowers has to be fresh and carefully taken off as its not like other flowers..hydranges or something..i guess they didin't do it properly and sent to us half dead and couldn't be bothered. And i wrote them a formal email on my dissapointment that they didin't not even apologise, few days after that they just reply my email said refund has been made into my account. FULLSTOP!.. My god, such a big company, didint even have the gutt to reply email to apologize..This is so unbelievable how people do business. It must be because they always get big clients, so we small clients they don't give a damn about what we say. sigh..well to other people just be warned. Don't depend on this planner La F***** to manage flowers for you...
  8. I just had my wedding there and it turned out very well. The food was given thumbs up by many people. Deco was great. We added some by ourselves. But if anyone needs any advise or opinions to have a wedding here, just ticle here and i will try my best to respond. We planned this since November 2010 and this forum helped me alot. So anyone needs any feedback let me know for me to return my favor to others who is gonna go through this planning!. Also, some other feedback i have is Shangri-La Putrajaya Wedding Photographers Flower Supplier ( THAT SUCK ) Cheers
  9. My wedding was just over, so my advise to all of you do not get fresh flowers for the bride or bridesmaid or even for your dog at home, this company LA ****** quoted us a bomb on FRESH flowers. Called up the bride the day before and ask if they can send the cosarges and bouqet the night BEFORE of the wedding!..Now who on earth accepts wedding flowers the night before?. These particular flowers has to be fresh on the day it self. After much debate, they agreed to send it in the morning of the wedding day. To our shocked, the bridal's bouquet was not what was agreed. Colors and arrangements were all different. Worst, the flowers were dry and half DEAD! on the morning of the wedding. They said give them time to go back and change new one. The bridal family was furious and time was short, they were asked to leave the house immediately. So the bride went down the aile with a fake flower. WTF So this company f***** the wedding flowers for one special day. During the night after the wedding, the staff said " When i sent it was okay!". They were still defensive and not even apologetic until today. Next few days only receive email from LA F***** said they will refund for the flowers, no apology nothing!... Their table cloth as nice, but that's just it..service was good at first but after you paid, everything down the drain. Please take note!

  13. I have learned much bout diomonds from this site. Appreciate all the knowledge sharing. I guess it is my time to share back. I finally bought my ring from Carat Club before changing their names to Swen in bangsar. In choosing a diomond, must also see the woman's preferences. Some really like shiny diomonds, some prefer bigger. So if the girl insist / prefers a big diomond, then you can compromise on the cuttings such as lazarre, love diomond etc. These special cuttings has a different of about rm1k which could add alot of carat to the diomond from my experience. Anyone interested ill put in the diomond details i bought from carat club. Around 4 carat i think around rm4k..
