  1. Dear all, My hubby and I have Sri Petaling Yoga Club membership for sale as we have joined the life time membership. We would like to let go at a) 1-year membership -- RM900.00 B) 7-month membership -- RM530.00 For those who are interested, please PM me or email to jiahuan@yahoo.com.
  2. I used homogeneous 2 x 2 tiles black color with shinny spot as my wet kitchen table top whereas for dry kitchen, I chose solid surface. Tiles are of course cheaper than table top and more durable. My wet kitchen is not for display therefore I chose something is more durable and easy to taken care.
  3. Maybe you can try Shuang Yi Kitchen, you can go to their webby at http://www.shuangyikitchen.com I went to the D'sara Perdana's branch, called "In Cube". They provide personalized design (the designer cum salesman- Dan Lee, very powerful, can base on your floor plan and design off hand IMMEDIATELY!) for your kitchen, wardrobe, partition, bed frame...everything, as long as it's wood associated! Their factory in Klang. My friend's kitchen cabinet quoted for RM8k+ only...not too expensive. CK Kitchen Cabinet quote him RM6k++, but maybe my friend unlucky, get the junior fella, the design...sigh, can't compare with Shuang Yi lor. That's why my friend in headache now... go for design and quality or go for cheap price... ;) Hi all. I'm new in this forum..thanks to Pink Kitty. I've called Mr Chia of Shung Yi Kitchen. He came to my house last Saturday to quote RM3890 for my kitchen cabinet. He said it will be nyatoh material but not too sure...because yet to finalise. He also called his father who does the concrete table top with 1 X 1 tiles (quot for RM1900 only -do the concrete top, wiring and also will provide me free sinki) and other renovations work. Do U think this is reasonable? This is my 1st time. Need some advise. Thanks B) Hi Leen, you did not mention how many feet of your kitchen cabinet, therefore, it's hard to say whether it is reasonable or not. in my opinion, dont use 1 x 1 tiles as it will not look nice. this is my experience where my former apartment kitchen top used 1 x 1 tiles. my current new house used 2 x 2 black tiles. it makes the kitchen looks different. look more elegant. Hi all. Sorry coz did not mention the size of my kitchen. The KC supplier says to have it in "L" shape with 1 sink ..my kitchen area is a bit small la....house is 18 X65 so the kitchen cabinet will be at 6 X 6 feet long X 5.6 ft wide. I think I will consider the 2X 2 tiles..but how much does it cost? Do U have any idea? Hi Leen, depends on what type of tiles you are using. black color / dark color tiles are normally more expensive. renovation is once in the life time and you will not do it when u stay in the house anymore. therefore, u need to spend the money to have a nice and comfortable kitchen.

    Lightings

I had my built-in kitchen cabinet and wardrobes in CK Kitchen. Dressing table, study table, book shelves, TV cabinets from Red Apple at Sg. Besi. Sofa from Podez Gallery in Puchong. Platfrom bed from E&E in Cheras. Lightings from Ten Gro. Electrical stuff such as fans, air con, water heater from D Legend in Sri Petaling.
  6. Pink Kitty, I did call Elegant Screens before and compared the price with Mr. Low. The price quoted by Elegant are more expensive than Mr. Low. For conventional type, it is approximately RM2.00 more expensive. I did the folding type and magnetic type in my living room and it looked beautiful. Of course, you have to pay more for these two types. It's true that with mosquito net, it can prevent a lot of insects from flying into the house especially with baby around. This is my main purpose when I installed the insect screen in order to protect my baby girl from bitten by the hungry mosquito.

There are new stocks coming in soon.
  9. d legend in sri petaling also demo the fotile hood to me before i bought it. he did not use the wok cover but he used cardboard. indeed the suction power is great that the cardboard did not drop. he tried on other brands too but the cardboard soon dropped down regardless he had on the highest power. he tried on elba which i initially wanted to buy. also tried on electrolux, fagor, etc. that is why end up i rather paid more for fotile hood.
  10. i fully agree with babysiew. u cannot use so many burners at one time especially your wok is very big. i bought 3 burners.
  11. this Rowenta is lousy lar. i did not face all these problems with CK Kitchen. the anti jump sliding wardrobe that he quoted us was less than RM4k for 9.8 feet.

    Lightings

not all the lights are the cheapest in price. perhaps u can make few comparison amongst the lightings shop around that area. i still strongly recommend Ten Gro Lightings. Look for the boss, K.C. Chan.
  13. i will only recomment those good shops or good contractor. those lousy one will be extracted from my list. haha... babysiew is right. after spending so much on your kitchen renovation, of course u do not want a conventional burner which will spoil the whole design of your kitchen. anything you use has the tendency to spoil after few years down the line. anyway, if you maintain the thing well, it can last for many many years. the thing will not be so easily spoilt unless you are very rough or do not take care of it.

Not that they give discount if you buy more from them. If you are member, you are entitled to 10% on fabric. You can actually do it now because Macy has Sales starting 1 Mar 08. Most of the fabric is entitled to 20%. You will save a lot.
