  1. As far as i know, there is no must-do rule in who purchases the ring, etc. Nowadays even the bride chips in for ring costs, etc. For us, husband pays for the wedding bands. During our ROM, we signed the papers and left, no exchange rings, etc. The wedding bands were meant for the church ceremony. So it depends on your both, ROM or ceremony to exchange rings. Or buy both sets of rings for both events. Happy planning! :)
  2. I too have tiny bumps at the back of my arms (breaks out occasionally), and wondered what can minimize the break outs. Since you've mentioned Argan oil, maybe i should try it out. Kiehls here in Dubai is expensive too... Shall head down to the nearest mall to check it out. Thanks for sharing this info tash :)
  3. We used to live 15mins away from my parents place, so we tend to dine together as a family at least once a week. My mum always insists on visiting her as often if possible :)
  4. Hmm, i didn't realise how bad their service has gotten. My gown was MTM by Veralyn for my last Jan 2008 wedding, she was very friendly, accomodating and i would say helpful. I was very fussy and picky about details, so to see her being patient with me the whole 4 months made me rate her service 7/10. I guess it boils down to individual encounters with her personally. I do agree she can be quite stuck up at times, but so long she delivers my gown in time, i'm happy. She was as well prompt with my queries and emails. Anyway the reason i chose PIW was because (compared to other boutiques) she quoted my gown cheaper (within my budget too).
  5. What's going on here?? Kindly note that this forum is for sharing (info/advices) purposes, therefore any indecent/ unkind words/ unrelated topics is to be avoided at most times. Thank you!
  6. Hmm.. I did thought of this when we have kids.. I plan to use English, cantonese and some mandarin. Our priority is English, at times adding chinese into it. Not sure how it'll turn out though. I was brought up speaking english, but frequently my mum would introduce cantonese (though she's hokkien) with us when i was about 7 years old. I'm not super fluent with cantonese/ mandarin now, but am able to understand and speak, not too bad i'll say :) Still thinking stage for us though :)
  7. You look gorgeously sweet in that pic! Hope you win this! ;)
  8. oh, well my 20 mins excludes breakfast, as i normally buy brekkie on the way to my office. To me, the thought of waking up earlier to prepare breakfast is something i'm not willing to put effort, yet.. Heh! This shows how much i treasure my beauty sleep ;)
  9. Lol.. yeah. I don't take very long to shower, i take about 5 mins max to bathe.. A tiny weird habit of mine :)
  10. I'm not a make-up lover... I can just live on concealer and lipstick, so it takes me about 20 mins (plus shower, etc) to be ready. It helps me to sleep in later.. ;)
  11. Welcome to MB! Feel free to browse through this forum for any further info on weddings and more. Cheers!
  12. Sigh.. What to do lar, when such people still exists in this 21st century... Like they say, a gift is better than no gift at all.
  13. Thing is, my cousin's husband thinks he can drink alot, he's a clubber, so he was overdoing it with pride lar.. ANyway after that incident he was little embarassed to see us relatives. Yeah, just samurai your fh beforehand as a warning.. lol.
  14. Lol. i too went for a wedding similar to your scenario. But instead of drunk guests singing, it was the groom himself that drank too much, too happy i guess, until he couldn't stand on his own feet properly, and his family members had to bring him upstairs, lectured him and then let him rest in the room. So didn't see much of the groom.. Til it was time to say goodbye, he managed to sober himself and shook hands with this guests... we were laughing at his super red monkey face. I kinda pitied my cousin for marrying such an egoistic husband.. Embarrassed her like this.. If i were her i'll smack him in the room later.
