  1. Dear all soon-to-be brides and grooms, We recently celebrated the first wedding in our immediate family. We engaged Teaffani Catering & Events (based in Kelana Jaya) to provide a lunch buffet for the poolside ROM. Unfortunately, our experience went against the glowing testimonials on their website: 1. they were more than 2.5 hours late with no prior notification (promised 10 am setup for a 12 noon ROM but only arrived past 12.30 pm) 2. no status updates despite multiple calls and messages to enquire as to their whereabouts and when they will be arriving 3. slow set up of food trays and needed us to supervise and instruct 3. waiting staff provided for the event were not proficient in English (nor Malay for that matter!) although one of them was quick to respond to our needs 4. non-delivery of table we had ordered for the ROM ceremony forcing an impromptu last-minute set up by friends 5. poor coordination with third-party vendors they had engaged to deliver additional furniture 6. miscellaneous failures to deliver on agreed products and services, such as supplying the table cloth in the wrong colour, failing to collect and remove all furniture supplied The manager, while apologetic, lacked sincerity in her explanations and efforts to placate us. Food was decent, but not well set up and not labelled. Overall it was an extremely disappointing experience for us. Teaffani's level of service, troubleshooting, and damage control procedures are unacceptable, particularly during such a joyous occasion as my brother's wedding. We are posting this review on key wedding forums so that you will be spared the frustration and embarrassment of leaving your guests waiting with hungry stomachs. We highly recommend against engaging Teaffani for your special event. Please feel free to share our experience with your friends and family. All the very best wishes in preparation for your big day, Minn.
  2. Hi, I recently came across Philea Resort & Spa's wedding package. Absolutely beautiful place! I'm thinking of doing an outdoor wedding and not sure if anyone has had one in this resort before. And does the food taste good? On the other hand, what about Cameron Highlands Resort? Pretty attractive package too though I have yet to check with them on the rates for the wedding packages. I'm attracted to these two venues as they are beautiful resorts set amidst beautiful environment. The cons are they may be pricey and inconvenient for guests to travel to as I am from Johor. Thank u so much! :)
  3. Hi all, We finally had our wedding 1,5 months ago. Wanted to share our experience: We had a total of 3 things on the same day at the same venue: Tea ceremony Garden ROM Wedding Dinner Just for those of you who mlght get confused, this is the Club Saujana Resort (right next to the larger/ older Saujana Resort). It can easily accommodate for 60-80 guests. Venue the venue was perfect for us: Tea ceremony, we used a small private are in the restaurant which is very well light for the tea ceremony. The restaurant served tea and snacks at the end of this. Was very good, as they set up the room with nice chairs and gave very good pics Garden ROM, We used their outside area for our ROM. There is a lovely bridge, and water pond. We had our ROM at about 6 PM which also gave us a wonderful sunset on our pics. We used the banquet chairs provided and red carpet, sound system etc. and it was a dream wedding. Dinner, The dinner set-up was perfect. The venue has a very cosy restaurant. This gave the perfect level of intimacy for our event. The rooms are big and good to get ready in, the lighting also gives very nice prep pictures. And surely good for wedding night :) Food the food (Western food) was absolutely delicious. It was a four course meal, which we had decided upon with the chef, giving option for fish, meat and vegetarians even. The chef is very skilled and the presentation is absolutely perfect. The chef is skilled and knows his stuff and even recommended us wines to go with the food. Service The managers and their team are absolutely competent and professional. We as bride and groom are quite control freaks, but had no trouble putting our faith in the good hands of the Club Saujana management. Each and every detail was taken care of as discussed and share in our itinerary. One could tell that the people really put in their heart and soul to make our day extra special. Even the grooms suits which were ruined by the dry cleaner were fixed by the hotel on short notice. So for all you people looking for a cosy/intimate wedding, make sure to check it out. Best of luck peeps!!!!

  5. Hi all, Has anyone had their reception at Cyberview Lodge recently? Would be great if you could share your experience, especially on the below: 1. Service from the hotel's event coordinator/ sales manager 2. Food quality 3. Quality of service during the reception i.e. Are the waiters attentive? Do they know how to serve food properly? I attended a dinner once where the waiter was splashing soup all over the table and literally throwing the bowls down. 4. Parking and safety - I read somewhere that people's cars were broken into during a wedding there. Not sure if it's true or not. Thanks, and appreciate any feedback. :)
  6. Hello! I am a BTB in 2013- my AD is set for 19th October 2013, yes, slightly more than a year later but it's never too early to start planning right? :P Anyway, my biggest headache with my wedding planning is finding a venue. My future groom and I are looking at an outdoor/garden venue, or a venue with a nice garden/skyline view for about 50-60 people. We have our own food caterer- 23Aubergine or formerly known as Aubergine Catering & Events. The main problem is that most of the places we've looked at, or are being suggested by previous couples are either hotels or restaurants, and do not allow outside catering. Therefore, we are now looking at clubhouses (Condominium/Housing) or private bungalows with a nice garden. No halls/community centres please, as we've also looked into them and they do not exactly have the "feel" we want. If any of you know of any such places available for rental, please do feel free to suggest them and I will look into it! I've also heard of the name Casa Jardin, which is located in Jalan Damai being suggested around here, but I've been searching and searching online but can't seem to find any information about it, so any information about this place would also be appreciated :)
