Hi,

Can anyone tell me actually is it necessarily to give ping kam, I ask my parents and they say is up to us? I am not familiar with tradition and my situation is: my hb and I will pay for the whole wedding at a hotel and my parents will pay for ka lui biscuit that's pretty much it. And I told my parents, all the ang pow that we collect from the wedding goes to them and does my husband still need to give ping kam? He is not Chinese so he has no clue so he will do as I tell.

Since your parents said up to you all , perhaps can just request some small amount like RM188 or 288 as a 'yi si' lo :-)

Since your parents said up to you all , perhaps can just request some small amount like RM188 or 288 as a 'yi si' lo :-)

So my hb give my parents all the ang pau money collected from the wedding and another ang pau of 288? I guess that would work
