juvannise 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2009 just my opinion...parquet have the problem all over the years... it cant be damp.. means have to stay out of water. if exposed to water for long time ie in front of your bathroom, it will come out piece by piece and looks awful.... unless u ordered special wood (those hardwood) then it stay longer but will cost u more..i'm personally prefer wooden floor. click joint system is not bad too.. can consider.... but the problem is it's easily scratched and some of my friends told me they have to re-paint it every 2 - 3 years since they have kids at home. aisumomo 0 Report post Posted July 15, 2009 im using those click long panels currently. was really pretty, then i had a huge headache 1 week before shifting in, my unit flooded as im at the topmost floor.i literally cried looking at the expanded panels and fungus growing out of the edges.the developer paid for a whole new flooring but somehow the workmanship and finishing wasnt as good as the first *sigh*i think it really made a big difference since mine is just a studio with tiles initially. the wood flooring really made it look more classy when matched with my built-ins ^__^its scratch proof (blunt objects and normal wear n tear) and fire proof.they guarantee should the natural grooves of the wooden floor disappear, they will change.
