K_lyn,

I do my checkup in UMSC too with Prof.Eugene. So far the cheapest bill is RM117.

Consultation is RM53

I do agreed that the bill is at a high side. Im a bit regret but it is too late to change gynae.

Did your doctor share with you how much is the delivery charge?

lw_cath, i think most important is u r comfortable with the gynae... the price, i found out tat my frens who went to Britannia and Columbia also paying the same range for each visit...

Hi Babysiew,

You have friend seeing gynae at Britannia Kajang? Do you know which gynae is your friend seeing? Any idea is the gynae helpful and caring?

Britannia Kajang is also one of the Medical Centre I plan to consult future if I am pregnant cos it is near my area.

Or if there is anyone who have been to Britannia Kajang, would appreciate your feedback/ recommendation as well.

Thanks a lot!

Hi there...i just discovered this forum and it's look like a very useful forum for a new mommy-to-be!

Actually i am 8 months pregnant now and my gynae is Dr. Premitha at Pantai Bangsar. Do anyone here have any idea how much do they charge for normal vaginal delivery? I heard that it is quite expensive!

Hi ladies,

i'm staying in subang area. so far shortlisted 2 gynae i.e. Dr Tang Boon Nee of SJMC and Dr Ng of QHC Medical Centre (Taipan). Hope to get feedback on these gynae in terms of service and charges. Of cos i would prefer Dr Tang as lady gynae but the charges in SJMC seems like very expensive. Anyone experience with Dr Tand and Dr Ng before?

I'm seeing Dr.Ng from QHC too. I think so far so good. My husband & I are very comfortable with him.

Have you visited Dr.Ng before?

I'm living in cheras.

I'm thinking to deliver in Taman Desa Med Centre. Anyone deliver there b4?

Thanks!

Hi Simone,

I have no idea how the service/cost in Tmn Desa Med Ctre, but i would recommend a good gynae/a visiting doc at that hosp.

He is Dr Wong Choon Meng - very patient, friendly and informative. He has his own clinic at Sri Petaling and he visits/does deliveries in Sunway Hospital, Tmn Desa Med Ctr and Pantai Cheras. I have visited a number of gynae before him, and found that he is much better than the rest. Moreover, did not have to wait for a long que to visit for checkups. One thing for sure its abit hectic is to find parking at sri petaling, but there's a car park area below the clinic. I always parked there, not a problem.

If you are interested, i can give you his contact. PM me.

Hi,

Just to share wit you...I'm currently visiting Dr.Loo @ Tmn Desa Medical Centre. Initially I'm seeing Dr.Tang but have change to Dr.Loo as both of them are actually partners & found out that Dr.Loo timing is more suitable for me as Dr.Tang only duty @ Tmn Desa every Wed 2-5pm & she has alot of patient, everytime i went there around 1pm, i'm taking no:19 & will only see her @ about 5pm which is the last few patient then dr.tang change me to dr.loo cos the date that i want is not her duty day..Dr. loo is full time in tmn desa & her duty is frm 9-5pm (except wed 9-12.30, thrus only 4 operation & alternate sat 2-5pm)

I normally reach the hospital around 8am & will get no.1-3 & will finish my consultation latest by 9-9.30 depending the number i take. Dr.loo is very patient & i have hypertension after pregnancy & she will give me the best advice for my bb & me...my last visit i'm having flu & cough, dr. advise me not to take medication but opt for tradition way like having more vit-c & try drinking warm honey lemon. If my cough become worst then only take medication.

Well for your information, althought the hospital not so presentation on the outlook but i have 3 friends who have delivered in the same hospital say their service are not bad & their price is not to pricey too....my regular check up fee is RM60 for consultation but due to i have medication my bill normally around 120-130 & i will get a picture of my bb but i've check my bill, they do not charge me for the photo.

I was seeing Dr Eugene... He is a very good doctor, caring and frenly... Just tat the equipments at UMSC are a bit outdated... He cant confirm my baby's gender at my 25th week after the 4th scanning... I was very disappointed... and he tried to do the 3D or 4D (dont know is which) and I can only see something like sahara desert... he has to explain which is eyes, nose and lips... i cant see anything...

I went to Dr Ng Soon Pheng today at Columbia... I am very impressed with the service... Nurses very frenly and polite, Dr Ng is also a nice chap... He did scanning and I know my baby gender alredi... now I am at my 28 weeks... imagine knowing ur baby's gender so late! then he did the 3D or 4D scan and I can see my baby's face so clearly without Dr explaning... and baby's liver, stomach, the heart 4 chambers... I so happy tat I cried there seeing my baby's face...

So I decided to deliver at Columbia under Dr Ng instead...

i went to dr kim wong before. i wouldnt recommend her at all.

she is impatient and doesnt like to explain anything at all.

she just gave me an impression that she cant wait to get rid of me so she can proceed to her next patient. i just think it was really terrible that have a doctor like that.

i will never go back to her
