Steven&Evon 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2007 Hi all, After reading some post in MB, i think it would be much hassle to find out which medical centre to go or which gynae available or good.. here it goes from what i can gather from this forum and personal friends.. fluene 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2007 There's one gynae in Sunway (not convenient to put the name here. Anyone interested can pm me). Went to see him for some problems I had last year. He charges very high and asked for many tests, etc. End up my problems not solved and more other problems surfacing. Then I went to see another 2 different gyanes. They were horrified when I told them what this Sunway dr. gave me. And they also queried why he asked for so many expensive and yet unnecessary tests. I feel like conned by this dr. Spent a few thousands ringgit and end up my health got worse instead of getting better.

fluene 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2007 That stupid Sunway dr. gave me antibiotic injection. When I mentioned this to the other 2 gyane, they told me that particular injection is very very strong. It is for those terminally ill people who is going to die. Imagine I had that injection everyday for 8 days straight. Each injection cost RM150. Putting money aside, I wonder what side effect such strong antibiotic will have on my body
xin_yue 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2007 Can intro which gynea is good? cos probably will go for a check up... i prefer Sunway medical...
peipei 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2007 Sunway Medical Centre has 4 gynaecologists - Dr. Jason Lim, Dr. Noor Aini, Dr. Wong Yat May and Dr. Wong Chin Yuan. Dr. Wong Chin Yuan is my gynae and is a male doctor. He is very nice and friendly. I heard Dr. Jason Lim is popular but he has LOTS of patients. You have to wait at least 2 hours for each check-up. And unless you're those who have lots of questions to ask, most check ups will last only about 10 mins. I heard the other 2 female doctors are good too. But Sunway's consultation and medical charges are much higher than other hospitals.
babysiew 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2007 My sister went to SJMC... for her check up she went for a lady gyne... and then subsequently when she was about to deliver, she went to a male doc... she is very satisfied with the service given... costs her rm3.6k like tat including one injection of epidural and 1 nite stay... she onli stayed one nite... i think just the check up costs slightly higher than other hosp and then after delivery check up also... sorry dont know the name of the doc but if i am not mistaken onli one female gyne at SJMC... and 2 male gyne at SJMC... my cousin sister recommended my sister... beetle_bum 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2007 Hi all, Been missing from the forum for quite some time. Preety tied-up with my baby gal now. As for recommendation of gynae, I would also recommend Dr. Tang Boon Nee from Taman Desa Medical Center (TDMC) too. She is very friendly and patient. Not to forget she's also very detailed person too. You can throw her tons of questions and she will always try her best to answer them. Besides TDMC, Dr. Tang is also based in SJMC too. wye_ee 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2007 I'm not a mother yet, but I have my check-ups lately with Dr Loo Suat Chin (Taman Desa Medical Center) and she's a nice lady doctor. She'll explain a lot of things in detail (that's why sometimes you'll need to wait for a while before your turn due to her friendliness). A friend of mine went to both Dr Tang (TDMC & SJMC) & Dr Loo. She also say Dr Tang is good but if you have a lot of questions and need a lot of explanation, she recommends Dr Loo. Dr Loo used to work in UK before coming back to M'sia for her family. Personal preference end of the day.
nanako128 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2007 I been to SJMC for medical check up, if u prefer female gynea, u can choose either Christina Tai or Dato. Siti. My first visit was with Christina Tai but subsequent check up and operation was done by Dr Siti. If u plan to go for Dr Siti, she has plenty of patient , so u gotta be patience. To me, i prefer Dr. Siti. SHe is pretty old instead but get tons of compliments on her. Anyway, there is one gynea that i heard is pretty good in Kajang Medical Centre. This hospital just opened 2-3 yrs back, very clean and one of my colleague recommend a gynea called "balan" if not mistaken. Dr Ang ( SJMC) is my colleague's gynea and she just delivered a baby boy few months back.
wye_ee 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2007 I heard about Dr Siti too. She's famous and has a lot of patients under her. Just to share, a friend of my colleague was the patient of Dr Siti. On the day she was giving birth, she tried to push for 4 times and Dr Siti told her to do ceasarion after that. The patient told the doc that she still want to try to push but the doc say she got no time for her coz got other patient going to deliver. so the patient got operated. also heard that she can have 10 patients who is giving birth in a day (natural & operation)!! either she's truly dedicated or a bit greedy ler (in my opinion)... ernteoh 0 Report post Posted May 14, 2007 I have my check up with Dr. Loo (TDMC). So far I found that she is good. Very patient and detail Dr. The only things that make me headache in TDMC is everytime need to wait for more than 1 hour if you go on Sat. or week day morning sessions. It's because so many Dr. Loo's patients. What to do?
fluene 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 My facial lady recommends me Dr Eugene from UM Hosp... private section... but i always have doubt la... cos u know la UM... but she went thru her operation and everything she 100% recommends him... he even gave his private number to his clients and if they feel uncomfy they can call him and ask how ar how ar... so she said she really recommend... and she said this doc always full his appointment... i tot of checking him out 6 mths be4 my AD... just to preparemyself to get pregnant hehehe I have been to see Dr. Eugene. He is very good. Yes, he has lots of patients but he asked me to come very early on Sat so that I can pop in as the 1st patient and no need to wait so long. He is actually a lecturer in UM. Besides UMSC, he also serves in UMMC which charges much less than UMSC. UMSC is the private section while UMMC is unedr government. Basically, UMMC and UMSC is in the same building. Dr. Eugene doesn't mind to have his patients going from UMSC to UMMC. He earns much more if the patient is under UMSC but he is an ethical dr. Gave me his provate num too. My colleague's mother had her operation done by Dr. Eugene. Highly recommended him. That's how I get to know of this Dr. One more thing. Do not under estimate Dr. that serves as lecturers in universities. They have more experience that private dr. Being a lecturer, they are more up to date with the latest research, treatment, etc
