Congratz on your 1st pregnancy Panda Lover... it must be sooo excited!!!!

You can google some chicken pox info so you may understand more... I hope you'll be doing great same goes to your baby...

My normal check up at Columbia Asia would be RM120 (doc consultation + 3D picture + urine test only)... so i guess your medical should be quite reasonable... but I would advice you to have your pre-natal visit once you end your 1st trimester.....

Hi vv_xoxo,

Thank you very much!! :)

I had search few information b4 I went to see the first gynae, cus I'm really nervous about my chicken pox issue...I went to seek advice on another doctor ( Prof Eugene, UMSC) , he also said it's all depends, it's a gamble. All I need to do is take care myself & baby, think more positive so that make sure my baby can grow healthy!!!!!!!!

Btw, the bill from UMSC was very expensive!!! It was RM178 ( consultation RM110 + Medical disposable RM20 + Ultrasound scan RM43 + Admin Fee RM 5)

Just to share my gyane who helped me on 2nd baby.

My gynae was Dr Loo from columbia asia bukit rimau. while my 1st child gynae was Dr Ng Soon Pheng from columbia asia puchong. personally i prefer dr loo alot. she's a superb gynae and she helped me alot. without her, i wouldn't be able to pass thru all the hard times, especially the 1st 2 week after deliver my baby. she's pull me up when i depressed.

in future, i wouldn't go to other gynae other than Dr loo.

Obviously you prefer Dr.Loo much better, but can you share how was your experience with Dr. Ng Soon Pheng? Did you have your baby via natural birth/ c-sec? Would he force you into c-sec even if you can deliver naturally?

Thanks...

frankly speaking i delivered my 1st child under Ng Soon Pheng via C-sec. hmmm... i'm not sure how to comment. different type of feeling. he doesn't force me. but then, it's like 'lead' to that situation. maybe becoz now i'm comparing him n dr loo.

when Dr Loo attend to me, n i did share with her that i would want to deliver my 2nd baby naturally, she does really helped me to go to that process esp under 1 important condition that both baby and mummy must be safe. she even teach me how to handle the contraction pain, how to push, etc. is like i can feel her positive feedback and support. even though at the end of the day, i deliver my 2nd baby via c-sec too (after her advise to go for c-sec which really for the safety of my baby). but i have no regret. she was there with me, when the contraction pain start middle of the night. n i can hear the midwife kept updating her my progress. and she appear in front of me as early as 5am. checking on me, even though the contraction pain start to dove off.

side track abit - her skill damn good. now the scar was properly closed up so nicely and neatly. it's as thin like a hairline.. superb closure. :) and won't be leaving any scar (apply cream she recommend which can buy from pharmacy outside).

hello ChrisNg..knowing tat u r having ur consultation in Pantai Cheras, may I know how is the hospital facility for delivery? I heard frm some friends that their facility & environment are not so good and pleasant Im currently consulting Dr YT Ng (he has both clinic in Tmn Pertama Cheras as well as in Pantai Cheras. I think ur gynae Dr KK Tan is good because seems that he asks a lot of questions from the patient, while my gynae talk very less... in fact, i have to think of questions to ask him every consultation time. Do u mind sharing how much is ur consultation fee with Dr Tan? Thx alot...

I'm with Dr KK Tan, Pantai Cheras. He doesn't rush us during our visit and always ask whether i have any question for him. I like his patience and service, so far so good. His own clinic is near stadium badminton Cheras.

Hi. I just delivered last week under Dr Ng Soon Pheng. He's a good gynae and quite patient towards me. He explains my situation etc, and is also very concerned.

I went through c-sect, not forced by him but I had placenta previa. If I could deliver naturally, he would have encouraged me to do that. :)

Hi there,

Just visited Dr. Edmund Lai of Cheras Maternity Specialist. Anyone knows him or has engaged his services before? He seems to have a lot of patients. Just would like to check around before deciding on which doctor is the most suitable :)

Thanks in advance.

Having tought time deciding which gynae to go to. This is 1st pregnancy, heard and read lots of disappointments regarding gynaes and having to change gynaes prior to delivery. Being pregnant is a wonderful experience and being 1st pregnancy it is also filled with anticipation and worries over my health and the baby's. Appreciate if anyone can share with me their experience with Dr Loo fr Columbia Bukit Rimau, Dr Paul Tay fr Prince Court or Dr Jason fr Sunway Medical. Thanks.

Luckily I'm with him. My first gynae was in Sunway, he did not give me any confident. Then my fren recommend me to see doc wong, his wife work in Pantai hospital, says doc wong is good. I have fibroid complication, is ard 5cm. Since begining till deliver, I keep ask him need c-sect, but he told me if can natural why need go c-sect.

After deliver, i asked do I need to do operation to take out the fibriod. He told me to deliver until dun want deliver then only think want operate or not. He is patient doctor, I like to ask many questions, he willing to answer.

suevian: is it natural birth? how's dr wong, is he patient?
