I tried 2 times and i get 2 baby girls, they are 2 and 4 now. I was doing IVF. My doctor is quite "pro". Maybe i should intro him to you over here. Dr. wong Pak Seng, sunway Medical center. He used to work in Damansara woman specialist last time. He is a doctor that really make me feel he got the heart. I have changed few doctors before him.

wish you good luck.

hi happily,

just to let you know you are not alone. I also failed my treatment the first time, resulting in miscarriage...until now still have not move on. no good news... getting really sad and depressed..but My only hope is to do second treatment...so, I understand how you feel..

do you mind sharing which doc did you go to? I saw Dr.Prashant previously and now thinking of going with Dr Wong... He suggested long protocal treatment this time...

Chantal, do you mind sharing which doc you went to?

Thanks a lot.

i tried twice and failed so yes, those who have been thru it will understand how it feels like! Till now i do not have the guts to do it again...

Nevertheless, believe in yourself Happily! Have you read the book 'Secret'? Practise the Law of Attraction, be confident and YOU will SUCCEED!

Happy X'mas & Merry Holiday gals!

Sorry for the late reply. tam i have replied your message.

Yes, I did 2 times and yes 2 baby girls. the process and feeling doing IVF is like your are sitting on the roller coaster. up and down; up and down. sometimes cry sometime happy... 1st time, i was dealing with Dr. Menon, he was quite new that time. He is caring but maybe lack of experience? i'm not sure.. i only get 6 eggs after 3 weeks injection and then... top up then i got 12 (so happy right ? got 12) but then.... 6 is too mature and 3 broke and only left 3 at the end. untill there is 1 time Dr. Menon is not at the center and the nurse transfer me to Dr. wong. Then i met him, the advice he gave, the caring is really help me a lot and give me a hope (i was a bit down and hopless that time :( )

Then the 2nd time, I should get twins baby but then...... when i went for 2nd time checkup, doctor told me 1 of them not developing and dont see the egg yolk.... I cried out on the spot, I was so sad, my baby....... :(( but then Dr wong not like others doctor just walk away and talk to the husband or what.... He talk to me nicely, encourage me. He is very caring and you can feel the heart. Honestly before I went to damansara woman specialist i went to seek for few doctor advice. They are so cool or cold? i dont know.... I dont feel good and feel even pressure and bad.

Sorry...... talk about the charges. Last time i done in Damansara woman specialist. Is about RM25K. If picking on gentle, extra 7K. And i understand from the nurse of tropicana medical center; due to they are moving to new place and build a new cneter, now the charges is more expensive.

I'm planning for 3rd baby. (my hubby wish to have baby boy). I will go and see Dr. Wong Pak Seng in his new clinic (sunway medical center).

Wish all of us good luck ok? We can do it! cheers......

Hi, we turned to ivf coz we dun wanna waste time to try n try months n months but negative results. We failed our 1st ivf treatment coz doc saes my eggs and hubby's sperms are healthy and they juz let it fertilise on its own.. but they nv.. and after tht doc found out my shells were harder and he dun understand why coz im still young..

so our 2nd round doc done a more prolong treatment and we went korea holidays so i have to bring all my needles and meds to korea and inject LOL.. and even once hubby injected 6 times coz we were trying to inject on a bus ride LOL. Which hurts alot!!

But our effort were worthwhile coz doc retrived 24 eggs, 19 were fertilised but 1 something went wrong i guess, we transfered 2 inside but now im successfuly pregnant wif my baby no 1. Nw 17weeks.. the other 16 were frozen..

DON'T GIVE UP!!!

desire just wonder since you are so young (23?) and I presume your Hb are below 30 as well PLUS both of you are healthy, why are going thr IVF within few months of your marriage? IVF is really damaging to us and it's like a last resort for those who unable to conceive naturally.

IVF has its own risk like OHSS where my colleague almost lost her life while another lady just died of OHSS last week. My colleague was being presciped with over dosage of hormone thus causing her severe OHSS as the doc wants high sucess rate and produce more mature eggs. She didnt have the same prob during her 2nd IVF with a far more ethical doc.

Eggs in our body is determined the day u were conceived by your mum. It's not like sperm where it keeps producing. By harvesting 16-18eggs at 1 go means you have bring forward your menopause by 1 over years!

Urm, just wondering - why do they need over 10 eggs to fertilize? The hospitals here in SG only take like six at the most (according to my friend who is now pregnant via IVF and she & HB are nearly 40 - she has a history of miscarriages, etc). :S

i noe ppl will think y in the world we as quite a young couple wanna try that.. well we tried months n months of naturally but theres no news.. so since hubby nids to travel alot.. and he got no time to fix like okay my ovulation he can be here or wat.. thts y we turned to those fertility center..

but if we dun go fertility center we aso wont noe actually my eggs shells are harder and the sperms are harder to penetrate. Our 1st time ivf failed coz the sperm will juz insert abit and spinning the egg round n round but juz cant fertilise. Even doc dun understand y coz this usually happens to women after 40.. so we are glad we went to the doc and did icsi. Coz our doc did assisted hatching for us too as in the shell will comes out easily

Okies. Maybe it's just me but I just get the creeps knowing that there are a bunch of my eggs frozen somewhere and that certain people have access to it or can do anything with it. What if I don't want them anymore in the future? Just trash (if it's fertilized already, wouldn't that be like going for an abortion and therefore qualify as murder?)? :S

Over 10 seems a bit overkill to me and more of an excuse to make money. :/

yah.. it costs money to freeze it too. If one reach the history of IVF, it is intended to harvest your eggs on monthly basis (when it mature naturally or with the help of some hormone BUT never to mature a whole bunch of it) and then fertilised it in test-tube and only insert back to the mother;s womb at the rite day of the cycle. Also in Australia, they only allow 1 embyro to be inserted at 1 time. Nothing about insert 3-5 embryos with the hope that 1 or more will works. However over here, unenthical doc wanna high success rate thus insert many embyroes which lead to triplets or even more.

over here my doc is very good, he only insert 2 embryos into my body knowin im still young and having triplets chances is higher. Moreover he will tell us the risks whether we wanted 2 or 3 embryos insert is depend on our own too. So we cant blame on the doc all the time. =)

Hi Bunny,

Do you mind sharing with me (in private) which is the document they went to? Actually that's the biggest concern I have. Sometimes you really don't know which doctors are ethical and not.
