citylady 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2010 My Guo Da Li (GDL) is on Friday and it is a working day. Do I have to be around during the ceremony? Or it is just exchanging wedding stuff between both parents?Must it be followed with a lunch?
beautifulgown 0 Report post Posted July 24, 2010 citylady,It is not necessary for you to be around and must followed with a lunch, it depends how you arrange it.My GDL is on Saturday and it is on meat dumpling festival, and mum arranged a lunch after that. babyeclipse 0 Report post Posted July 24, 2010 Hi citylady,My GDL was also on a friday. My FH n I chose to have it as a family affair, so our siblings also applied leave to be around. Since marriage is about joining of 2 families, we had lunch together so that our parents had more time to spend together to know each other's family.
