I just about to prepare my wedding :p As I will be away for business trip at overseas for 2 months....i left about 4 months to get everything ready from now...but still dunno what to start yet...really need to work out on something that what should I prepare for tradition customs...

sorry i didnt have any list ... and what my mom wants most prob is different from what other parents wants as well.

we have no list to start with therefore we didnt use any.

8 Angpau (Pingkam)

9 Angpau (chicken)

10 Angpau (brother-in-law's shoe)

12 Lung Fung Chuk (phoenix candle a small pair)

13 Pine leaves

Bride

1 Orange soft drink x 2

2 return a small part of pork leg + angpau

3 Red cloth

4 return of dried stuff (lin zhi, pak hup, red dates, longan, min xin, etc) (from groom's basket) + angpau

4 return Wedding biscuits + angpau

5 return Fruits (4 oranges + 4 apples) + angpau

6 return some Kuih

7 return small of amount from ping kam

Comb hair

1 a set of groom's comb set

SundayOrchid, this list is from which Chinese province? Cantonese, Hakka, Hokkien etc? I saw it from TV that different province requires different items... :rclxub:

kys, about which province .. my opinion nowadays customary procedures are quite standard. Meaningthat all provinces follow standard customary except maybe some elder people might want us to follow certain additional ways. Mine is hakka while hb is teochew, we used the simple and standard one only.. Everything went smooth cuz its simple :)
