Hi there,

Just would like to know whether there is anyone who can offer me some tips about C-section. I've heard from my sis recently that there is a so-called laser operation nowadays wherethe wound will be less painful and it is glued instead of stitches. Anyone heard of that before? I haven't checked with my gynae cuz my next appointment will be in 2 weeks.

Thanks ya~

Yes, my colleagues told me nowadays C-sect is usually done using laser. Can smell skin burnt during the operation.

I m not sure if it's called laser, mine was stitchless too. Just plaster to cover the wound which was glued together.

I think mine was using laser. I can smell skin burnt during operation. My wound was stitchless with sterile tape to glue them together. I think this makes the scar less obvious.

Wah~ sounds a bit scary, burning smell ah? But is it less painful compared to normal caesarean? Anyway, how much is the cost for this kind of operation? Anyone can share with me? Thanks ~

I'm not too sure whether its less painful but i was up and walking about slowly by day 2, post csec. On charges, perhaps you might want to check with your gynae where you plan to deliver. I believe the charges varies in different hospitals. My 1st csec and 2nd csec bill is almost the same, around 6k.

I am C Section, not laser operation, doctor want me to up the next day, i feel a bit painful but after that i am ok, first 2 days i walk very slow, after that i can walk easy but i walk slow to avoid hurt the wound.

At first i also worry csec will make me feel very painful, but surprisingly i doesn't feel much. lilykng was right, the bill depends on where you plan to deliver. My csec cost me RM10k.

Hi, sorry for late reply.

I had c sec at Sunway Medical, Gynae is Dr wong Ching Yuen. I stay 3 nights in Hospital. Actually 1 night is i admitted 1 day earlier because my c sec time is next day morning 9am, so i prefer to stay in hospital rather than rush in early morning.

Yes, my bill is RM10k.

Those 'glued' method is not glue, we are still using stitch but different kind, and that's for cosmetic effect. After the surgery we will put big plaster so that the wound is covered and not exposed to infection.
