may1986 0 Report post Posted February 15, 2012 I read through some posts here and I found that many brides prepared every wedding stuff themself! Very impressive and i did it too. I had bad experience in Bridal House, I feel they always like to sell their package without considering my budget. When I want to get a nicer dress or more photos, they said need to pay additional charge for that....the price is totally out of my budget. Lastly, I had my pre-wedding photo shoot in Bali ! My photogtapher is a Bali local, he is quite nice... Here is some tips that I did for my pre-wedding shoot ! Step 1: Decide the location Most of the self-service photography couples prefer for outdoor photo-shooting. Don’t waste your ideas and creativity; make your pre-wedding photo exclusive! Other than tourist attraction, you can capture the happiness moment in the first-dating-place; as a memento. It might be your secondary school, University, park and restaurant. If the photos are taken by free-lance photographer, their service is 8 hours per day, and 4 hour per half day. Hence, don’t waste the time in transportation, arrange 2 or 3 of your attractions as near as possible to capture more photos.
may1986 0 Report post Posted February 15, 2012 Step 2: Find a photographer, MUA and decide the style Find a photographer by referring to their photo galleries is the first task, but it is not enough,. All you need is communication. Tell the photographer what the style you want, romantic, adorable or casual. If you want to find a local photographer, must go through their products ^^ Bride hairstyle and make up is important, and it should be as simple as possible when taking outdoor shooting. Take the gowns/dress photo and show to the MUA, discuss the style and if possible, ask her to show you some of her product sample. Avoid heavy make up if you are not going to outdoor photo shooting as it may look unnatural. I have no chance to communicate with my MUA before my photo shooting, because Make up and hair-do is included in the Bali photographer's package. Luckily the Bali MUA had set up a nice style for me, not over but simple. Step 3: Prepare dress, accessories, and tools Bring some commemorative stuff such as the first gift he gave to you, or the first love letter she wrote to you. You can bring your favorite dolls to decorate the scene. With these precious stuffs, they give the photos deeper meanings and full with your love story. The most worrying issue- How to find the bridal dresses and accessories within budget? To be cost effective, couples are overjoyed with the option of renting these one time pieces of clothing. Gowns/dress rental service can be easily found in bridal shop. I have go throught some birdal house, the rental is depends on the style, quality. Basically, a nice dress cost about RM 350 above which consider expensive for me. As I want to rent 1 gown and 1 dress, it would cost me RM700 ady... Finally i rented 2 pcs of gown in RM500 but not from bridal house. It is from my sister's friend who renting gowns online. Luckily she provide me free rental of veil and accessories too that I can bring to Bali. As the local MUA did not provide any hair-do accessories... may1986 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2012 Share my gowns! I found from internet and luckily the studio is located at PJ area! I rented 2 gowns for my pre-wedding shoot! 2 pcs for RM500 based on the opening promotion price. If Rm700 can get 3 pcs but I dont think i have so much of time to change the dress and hair style. I feel it is reasonable.... because she provided me veil, glove and some accessories too! With tail.... And with no tail... I like it as it is shiny and suitable for night scene with flash.
