rosebug,

most of the time, it's just personal preference and for convenience sake...

for christian most probably they'll choose ROM at JPN office. you don't expect them to ROM at the temple and get the blessing from the buddhist monk isn't it... especially since ROM is longer conducted in church anymore.

then some prefer to ROM at those temple as ROM is conducted on weekend as well which mean the couple do not need to take leave to ROM... :)

yups, agree with mhyap1.. i chose the chinese assembly hall coz i didn't want a the ceremony to have any religious influence.. my other choice would've been jpn.. the other diff is jpn only does rom on working days while chinese assembly hall and other temples can do it on weekends..

would you know how much it'll cost us if we want to have our registration outside of the JPN office but not at a temple or other place of worship...

we are planning to have our ROM at a restaurant for now and i am really worried cos the date we want is 080808....

JPN payment is standard at RM 30 if i remmber correctly...

We registered in JPN Putrajaya, very nice room and spacious.. not too many people too. Nice to take pics!

We went a month in advance to book the date we want to get registered (must bring passport size photos of bride and groom) and fill up the form there... then on the day itself, we paid RM 30 before our turn was up... it's number system, so you'll have to be there from 815am - 1115am to register that day (although you've book the date, it's first come first served!)

Then headed to Marriott Putrajaya for All-You-Can-Eat-Dimsum with our family and friends.... :)

Dear lovequeen,

What are the documents that are required?

My FH is from Labuan and I'm from KL, I heard that we need to change address??

Did you have to go to JPN on weekday to book the ROM? They dont work on weekend? Does that mean you took 2 days off work for that?

Do advise ya.

Cheers!

If you wanna to engage a Registra to come out and conduct your ROM ceremony, the fee is RM500... exclude donno another wat fees.. (forgot der).. But i think I paid for RM20 extra..

As for the ROM preference, it is really up to you..

To me, doing it at Vogue for rm7000 sounds expensive to me.

i think i spent less abit than that but i also had a very nice ROM..

hehehe... u shud do more survey then can get wat u wan really..

good luck ya, ladies!!

Regards,

Selene
