Hi all, I'm looking for a wedding dinner venue, that can cater to 300pax or more. Preferably a place with good food and a view. I prefer not to have in hotel or any chinese restaurants, cos I don't really like Chinese wedding dinner type of food.

So far I've looked at all the typical garden wedding restaurants such as Ciao or Passion Road, but they can only cater up to 170pax maximum. I also explored Sentul Lake Side at KL Pac, but they also replied me to say their max is 170pax.

Thought of doing a rooftop wedding as well - maybe rent a big penthouse and cater myself, or rooftop dinner venue such as Teeq. Problem is the penthouse wedding is going to be very expensive, and probably cannot fit 300 ppl as well, and Teeq replied me to say they are closed for renovation T_T

Any help is greatly appreciated. I really don't want to do those normal Chinese wedding, but it would be my last resort if really no choice.

Budget is around RM150-180 per person. Of course, less is better hehe. :)

300 is probably too big for any venue with a view in KL Since you have blaclisted all chinese restaurants....then there really isn't much options anymore.

Are you sure?

Ciao states very clearly on their website, their outdoor (with canopy) can cater up to 300 pax.

Passion Road person in charge Vinz told us they can cater up to 300 pax.

There's also another place Secret Garden behind Passion Road, the venue looks slightly bigger I forgot the max they can host. They have a balcony at 2nd floor for ROM, with KLCC in view.

Actually you should open up your option and start looking at hotel and resort, because a lot of them do offer garden wedding.

As you might want to check out i.e. Carcosa Seri Negara, One World Hotel, Cyberview Lodge and Resort, Golden Palm Tree in Sepang...etc, as I checked these venues offer garden/beach wedding. Besides, Bankers Club offers an English interior with a good city view on Time Square.

That's if budget is not a concern for you.

As I learnt that to have something out of norm comes with a price...

Yes they can. Just the guests will be seated at different floors or so I heard. Please don't be offended as my "Are you sure?" above I was actually asking proudzebra as she claimed she's looked at those venues and their max capacity. Peace :)
