cindyclh 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2007 I sourced the projector from my own supplier, I can't remember how much it was as my hubby in-charged on that, and it depends on the resolution. I used 2 projectors in accordance to my tables and stage arrangement. You can also get the projector through the hotel's supplier, but the price is more expensive. Yes, pre-dinner cocktail is provided outside the ballroom with free-flow of cocktail and tidbits. Of course decorations are included. Hi burgundywine, You said that projector is not inclusive. How did you arrange your then? Did you go through an external supplier and how much do you think we should budget for that? Also, did they provide you with the pre-dinner cocktail session? Thanks. Hi burgundywine I just paid my deposit at PGOH for my next year but according to the person in charge the decoration is not included. Do you mind to share with me your wedding package at PGOH. Thanks

Hi Burgundywine, Actually they didnt include any decoration for the ballroom. They only provide us basic backdrop and a flower arch for the ballroom entrance. We need to pay ourself for the ballroom decoration.
burgundywine 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2007 hi cindyclh, what 'bout the table runner, chair cover n bow, flower pedestal, and drape? all not included? btw, r u taking the grand royal ballroom?
lohwaichen 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2007 I had my wedding banquet in the Grand Royal Ballroom and ROM at the garden. The ballroom is spacious without any pillar blocking. You must have at least 50 over tables in order to use the Grand Royal Ballroom. They have 3 sets of Chinese menu to choose from, we had the 1k+ menu and changed some dishes. Our families and guests were satisfied with the quality and presentation of the foods. Projector is not inclusive, u have to bring yours. I remember they customized the stage backdrop without additional charges. U can choose the color theme to match the drapes, table clothes, chair covers, and bows. I can send u some pic of the settings for my banquet if u r interested. Hi burgundywine, I plan to have my banquet at PoGH, I am really appreaciate if you can share with me your pictures of setting. Please send to lohwaichen@yahoo.com. Thanks & Regards, lohwaichen

Yes, I'm taking the grand ballroom. I have tried to nego with the person in charge but they told me that they wont include decoration for us. may be they revamped their package. i think it's not worth-it to buy/ rent the drapes to decor the ballroom, as the area is big. it might cost u a lot. may be just go with some balloons decor? skye 0 Report post Posted November 17, 2007 I had bad experience attending a friend's wedding in this place earlier this year. ~ The waiter / waitress was not knowledgeable. They didnt know that the shark fin need to put into the bowl of soup before stirring it for goodness sake ! ~ The table cloth and chairs was badly stained and with holes (noticeable and big too and it look horrible)~ food served is slow and at times by the time it reaches the food is cold. ~ They dont have enough waiter/waitress 1 to like 5 table. At times they are missing ! dont even bother to top up drinks/tea.I hope they seriously had some changes though otherwise its not a place I would recommend to anyone.
