measuring tools

If you beat for too long, the flour will turn into gluten, which makes it tougher.

For me, I only beat enough to roughly incorporate the sifted dry ingredients, and then smoothen out with a spatula... but have to put in the oven really quick or else it won't rise...

I think this discussion should be in Baking Tips thread :P

I like eat the sweet foods and also like cooking very much and recently I just want to learn how to make the biscuits and also the breads so that I can eat the goods I make and since I am just a biginner and do not know top much so that I should use some measuring tools to help me so that I can know how much water, sugar and also the slour I need to put as well so that I just bought a digital measuring cup and have made my first cookies and it is really delicius and I like it very much.
