joeythc 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2007 hi gals, i'm wondering if there's anyone who has held their wedding dinner at this venue before. i have just signed their chinese package with them in june2008. i've booked their ballroom. but i noticed its quite small. the marketing person says it can fit about 30 tables (but will be very cramp), but i feel its suitable for 23-25 only. any tips or advise? blurcheryl 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2007 Hi,Can u share with me EQ quotation? THanks so much. my email cchooi_lam@yahoo.comflowerpetals,Equatorial do not have the 2007 menu yet..callthem many times but stil not ready. the person in charge is Mandy - 03-21616375 ext 8089. Actually i like concorde but there are two big "tiang" in the middle of the chinese restaurant. the ballroom ok la.. but both aso booked on d dates i want..haih..If i get the menu ad i can send to u ok? No info about pakroyal la..sorry..Hi zeroflower,I am also looking at EQ KL as a venue for my Chinese wedding dinner. I went to look at the ballroom, i din like that very much - maybe because it was not decorated. But i like the chinese restaurant. If you don't mind not having it in a ballroom, you can check out the Golden Phoenix (GP). Contemporary, chic and oriental. And Mandy sent me the quotation already. Let me know if anyone wants that.I am still looking for options.

joeythc 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2008 hi low & prettybridal...me also btb of EQ, kl. i have less than 25 tables, so me taking the smaller ballroom too. have u gals been to the actual site before? coz wat i saw is just 1 ballroom for less than 30tables and the chinese restaurant catering more than 30tables. i was not informed there's 2 grand ballrooms in EQ, kl. for me i prefer the ballroom more, compared to the chinese restaurant. the ballroom is at 1st floor, you'll have a spacious plus semi private foyer. the chinese restaurant also got foyer but it is at GR floor, so many "not related" passerby. i was told the chinese restaurant just had reno last year, so their deco is pretty good too actually. but as normal, hotel will reserve those vip rooms for regular dining customers. so be prepared for "not related" ppl going in to the venue also loh. for those getting chinese restaurant, please discuss properly on the seat covers deco. it is different from ballroom. wat else? i got the LCD for FOC after numerous beggings :P . u gals try to insist on it more la, maybe they will give in. have u tried talking to Mandy? june's superior. for those bringing in own liquor/ beer, pls check their corkage charges properly. dats all from me, my AD is in june 08, so anyone else got other advise, pls enlighten me also
laiyie 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2008 Hi all...I visit both their function room, Anggerik and grand ballroom last month.Below is my personal opinion!Anggerik Room's ceiling is much higher compare ballroom. But both room have quiet different atmosphere.Anggerik more to the antique feeling with the nice andbeautiful ceiling light and wall light. The negative point is there is 2 pillar beside. But it still ok for those having small size banquet not more than 15 tables.Whereas Ball room is more to grand feeling, eventhough some might think the ceiling is cosider low,but for me, it's still have the grand feelingwith fairy light and drapes decoration.I do snap a few photo there, both Anggerik and Ballroom,Kindly PM me if interested.I'm also having a small size dinner, only 15 tables, frankly, I like their Sales coordinator, June.Eventhough i come with those small size banquet, she still show up her professionalism to me compare others hotels' saleswhich under my survey list. :)
