We need to see some credibility and accountability before we believe everything you just posted. Please tell us more....then only the members here will see whether or not Ben and Goh are as bad as you said they are. Even though I have no idea who they are...it is only ethical that you tell us more about your Wedding.

Even though I have no idea who they are...it is only ethical that you tell us more about your Wedding.Hi amanda angels, my wedding reception was at concorde hotel KL on 25 Sept! We engaged them 9mths ago bfore our wedding...we just need the emcee follow a simple and standard script, did not want all those 'nonsense' (i think its vry old fashion) and most importantly we need english more than cantonese, bcause our VIP are non chinese. When we deal with them that time we alrdy stated vry clearly say if they cant do it we can find someone else, but they showed us that they were vry confident seems like no problem at all. Few mths bfore the event, i also email them ask them to skip all the chinese songs in the CD they provided, and also stated what time we need to be ready. I trust them. I assume they are profesional enough, hoping that they will read back all the details in mails i sent since they showed us they hv many experiences. But everything turn out different from what expected that day! :( They were late, the excuse was traffic vry jam...some of the guests arrived alrdy they still not there yet, till my husband need to set up himslf do the work which they suppose to do! We were so pissed off. And he speak cantonse most of the time and talk all the 'nonsense' during the reception using cantonese! During the event we keep reminding him we need simple scipt yet he follow his own way. Aftr the event, many of my close frens complain about that emcee ruined my beautiful wedding..his english is vry bad, somemore slf complement alot, made ppl vry annoyed they way he talk..they even left bfore the guests. Omg...somemore i heard some chinese songs playin when i was in the hall! haizzz i almost wana cry alrdy..... many of the guests commented that othr than the emcee, everything is fine and nice.. haizz...All BTB, make sure to communicate with your emcee vry well. i really regret trust them so much din contact them and make sure they know what we wants :((......... DANIEL LEE 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2011 Sui...very sorry to hear about your bad experience with them. It's over d...and there's nothing we can do about it ya. I hope this will serve as a reminder about CREDIBILITY. I heard and seen so many vendors short changing and cheating the couples until I wanna kill them. Come on!...people's biggest day of their lives...and these vendors wanna cheat the poor couple by giving pasar malam service like your MC??A good MC is hard to find.,,,but the prob is they are booked very fast...sometimes more than 1 year ahead! There are also only a handful of good MC's in Malaysia who have the ability to create the most elegant, classy yet entertaining wedding. Besides the usual popular MC's who are mentioned here...allow me to recommend another MC who is equally good.I'd like to recommend our English speaking Mc..Mr KG TAN. He is a witty MC who is a crowd pleaser with his clever Jokes. He always put the spotlight on the couple each time he speaks. He makes the couple feel like they are the most important people in the wedding. Though his fluent English is his strongest language...he speaks Hokkien and Cantonese too...and always mixes both dialects to make the guests feel at home.He is also called KL's Michael Buble thanks to his excellent Vocal quality. When he performs Michael Buble's songs...you can be assured your guests will love it.Pls email me if you are curious to find out more about him.events.empire@gmail.com

Simyl 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2012 Hi, I'm having my wedding in melaka on March 2011. Is there an English speaking emcee that you can recommend? One that is funny would be best. If he/she can sing & entertain is even better! Please email me at kulshng@yahoo.com. thanks a million! QUOTE (Dolphina @ Apr 6 2007, 02:28 PM) Hiya! Most MC can help with organisation of the event flow, etc. However, the couple still need an "idea" regarding how they want the flow of the event to be. At least that's what I feel after MC-ing for many many friends and also MC-ing for others whom I don't know! hehe! However, indeed the MC is the one running the show that night to ensure no hiccups! *smile* (Unfortunately, I can't MC my own wedding in August 07! haha!) Anyway, I know of some good MC contacts, for English/Mandarin. If you would like some performance, singing is the most common lor! General pricing for an MC is about RM500-RM1200, depending if they're speaking one language or two languages. With or without performance. James is an interesting guy who create some "games" during wedding banquet. Very funny indeed! It does help in spicing up the event! (Charge: ~ RM600 - RM1000) Alternatively, if you've prepared quite a number of slide shows and also speeches, you might want to omit the performances part and just have an MC to help you with the event flow and creating some jokes during the night, Han is a very good speaker, who can bring the "crowd" to an all time high! =D (Charge: RM500 - RM750) PM me for their contacts. Cheers! Hi Dolphina, Can you please send me the contact details of Han and James to yenlee_sim@yahoo.com. Much appreciated!
chihuahua 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2012 I am in dilemma, I have been trying to get a hold of William lee because I have heard many good things about him. But he was probably too busy and I didn't get a reply from him. So, I found a female emcee Jocelyn lim and she seems really nice and I verbally told her that I will use her as my wedding emcee. But then William just reply me! What am I going to do? Jocelyn's price is cheaper than William lee and she looks really pleasant. I am in dilemma now, should I give JO a try? Or go with William but I feel bad towards JO, does anyone has any experience with Jocelyn lim?
DANIEL LEE 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2012 If you talk about Ethics...you should honour your word with Jo. It is not your fault that William did not reply you until you became anxious and got another MC.

chihuahua 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2012 I know, just that William is just a very, very busy guy, I email him and what's app him a few times and no reply and finally he reply me on what's app today and I just told the other emcee whenever she free maybe we can find time to meet. Arghhh..... I thought William would be a better fit to stir up the environment especially if my husband is not from Malaysia, so the toasting part he can make a livelier toasting
