BLR going to increase soon?

OCBC bank will not revise our instalment, but, it will automatic deduct interest portion accordingly based on the current instalment amount.

Since last time revision of BLR to 5.8% until now, we also didn't receive any revision of instalment amount, just depend on ourselves whether to pay more now to cover the extra interest... If not, will pay at end of tenure....

Huh?! :huh: I just heard it's 6.05% and am just received letter from my bank is 6.05% also.

BFR & BLR Increase Again From 6.05% to 6.30% Effect From 13 July 2010

Base financing rate (BFR) and base lending rate (BLR) increase again!!! With effect from 13 July 2010, both BFR and BLR will be raised to 6.30% per annum from 6.05% per annum.

First Increment (March 2010) = 5.55% to 5.80%

Second Increment (May 2010) = 5.80% to 6.05%

Third Increment (July 2010) = 6.05% to 6.30%

Here are some of the banks that have made announcement to increase BLR rates accordingly:

  • BLR Affin Bank = 6.30% (effective 13 July 2010)
  • BLR CIMB Bank = 6.30% (effective 13 July 2010)
  • BLR Bangkok Bank = 6.30% (effective 14 July 2010)
  • BLR Citibank = 6.30% (effective 13 July 2010)
  • BLR Maybank = 6.30% (effective 13 July 2010)
  • BLR OCBC Bank = 6.30% (effective 13 July 2010)
  • BLR Public Bank = 6.30% (effective 13 July 2010)
  • BLR Standard Chartered Bank = 6.30% (effective 13 July 2010)
  • BLR The Bank of Nova Scotia = 6.30% (effective 14 July 2010)
  • BLR UOB Bank = 6.30% (effective 13 July 2010)
