I went to Macy the other day but I just can't find something that I like for my house. So now I'm really stuck on which way should I go. Should I go for custom made or ready made. I'm really in a headache!! anyone have any curtain makers to intro ?

H Home is really good...i got mine from there too...like xiao xiao they quoted me RM1600 for the whole house...but my apartment is relatively small.....

living - double layer curtain (for both RM28 per m)

master - single layer (RM38 per m)

bedroom - single layer (RM25 per m)

study - roman blinds....

all curtains are full length....its quite reasonable i think....

macy is having promotion...but the promotional material arent very nice....the nice ones are really costly....there is this place in plaza damas, they sell ready made curtains too....quite reasonable...cant recall the name of the shop...but its near the escalator that is located in the middle of the mall....they sell material too...can go check it out

mine was quoted in:

4 x (6feetx4feet)

2 x (8feetx8feet)

i just went to Baagus, the sales marketing is pretty experience (or good in selling), i will wait for them to visit my new house to advise for design Roman + Contemporary curtains, with the promotion they have they said it can be done within 2k with full length.

pls take note that full length curtain will only look nice on ceiling that is not too low. therefore, i will save my $ on plaster ceiling.

hi gals, i just went to Subang Carefour Nagoya to make my curtains. the fabric is cheap and the quality is good. i done 2 layer for my slidding door and 4 panel windows. only 500 + the fabric is only RM 6 for thin layer (with flower) and thick layer only RM7 per meter. i choose another thin layer for my room RM 16.80 and the desing very nice. who ever want to make curtain should go there have a look.

Hi,

I just recently got my curtains done. My house is also an apartment. I did double layers for the living room, one layer each for 3 rooms. Price: RM1400. Quality is good even though expensive for some of the fabrics. But my hb is very happy with his choice. No regret in spending more in curtains for our home. It does make a big different.

Hello gals,

Do you know where I can get String curtains in KL? Any shops to recommend?

I am looking for string curtain that looks like the 2nd picture in the link below

Thanks

MacMac

There's a shop in Taman Tun, opposite the Pizza Hut row. They have it there but i'm sure it's not the only shop that has it. The place is called GI Deco

newbride,

I have one roman blind in kitchen, used it for only one month. So far it is ok. Roam blind saves space and looks tidy.

i use roman blind for my room... and as a matter of fact, my PIL house use roman blind for almost the whole house... so far so good... :)

but then depending on the material, it can be quite costly lor compared to those normal curtain... i spend around RM 400 or 500++ for the 3 panel windows in my room...

Hi Syeonmee,

Rare species? I thought so. Nowadays, he's the one washing the toilet every week. Haha!

About curtains, I saw alot nice patterns in Jusco yesterday. Not very sure of the price. But look and feel very modern and colorful.

rosayee,

Yup, all my curtains are done. I have a friend who sells curtain fabric and also does custom-made curtain and almost all of my curtains are done by him. The price is reasonable too. Also, he has good fabric like those really filter off sunlight.
