  1. Going to Bali for the first time in May :) Can anyone advise....is it possible to get a 1 bedroom villa in Seminyak for under USD100? Thanks!
  2. As for me, gotta admit that I had a pretty good experience with Erin (have only met her, never met the rest). I knew that we got to go to them early to have a wedding gown made (to me, it's the same anywhere also...other places also take about 2-3 months). So I went to her with the design I wanted and got measured. Asked her that I need it by June (this month) for my photoshoot first and actual day in Sept, and also the fact that I can only come down abt once a month over the weekend to do fittings as I'm working in Sg. She took note of that and all was fine. Then, a few days after I got measured and order was made, I got confused over the gown colour: white or ivory. Was really confused then and sent her an email. She assured me that ivory is a better colour and that it won't turn out yellow. Offered to take a photo of the colour swatch and send over to me, but I told her it's ok...I feel better about ivory now and I trust her judgement. Went in for first fitting last month, and the gown was even better than i imagined! Still needed alterations tho, coz it was loose *winkz*. She told me it can be picked up a week later, but am busy with my ROM in Sg so will only pick it up in June (am supossed to go for the 2nd fitting next weekend). Told me that I actually got a very good price for the gown and the veil turned out fine too! Was very grateful of her, as I flipped thru their new gown collection...she's indeed given me a very good price and most importantly, the gown looks gorgeous! Anyway, fingers crossed all will be fine when I try it on next week. Her attitude is not that bad...only felt a bit weird during our very first meeting when I went in to enquire and try on the gowns to see which style suits me. She didn't really give a lot of input then...but wasn't rude or sarcastic to me, or anything like that. Well, guess it's subjective...but let's hope that all bride-to-be's will get their dream gowns made there without much glitches :)
  3. Fiance did his at Bespoked 1U also, just had his first fitting last weekend. So far, he's quite happy with the results...also served by Jerrick.
  4. Hi all, I need to find someone who can do the decoration for our wedding car in KL on 25 Sept. Any recommendations? Did email one decorator the was recommended by someone on this forum, but that person never reply my email. Thanks!
  5. Yeah, got videographer also....actually most of my wedding stuff I asked them to handle also, like flowers, car deco etc Din take their package coz I wanted to use a freelance photographer and my own gown
  6. What about the emcee that is included in the package? Any comments on that? Is the person who is emceeing ok? Guess will have to remind them about the food portion since everyone's not satisfied with it here...
  7. Juanil: Yeah, I think they focus more on other stuffs like manicure & pedicure service, wedding favours and decor. But I think their price are quite ok...heard that other bridal studios are quite high sometimes
  8. Twinnytwo got gowns and suits also, and they have full wedding packages like normal bridal studio too. But I think their gowns are not as many as BS.
  9. Wow, you got time to DIY your stand summore! I think I dun have time to go and set up leh...looks like a busy day for us. Erm, if your friend can make those mini cupcakes like yours for abt RM1 to RM1.20 each (I wld need 450 pieces), am quite ok with that lo.Yea, i'm trying to figure out how else to pack the mini cuppies apart from the plastic cover thing they usually use. Thanks yeah
  10. Oh, how much your friend charge? If she can make it between RM1 to RM1.20 per cupcake, it would be good. Then there's also the issue of packaging for the cupcake...scared if we leave it exposed like that, would attract ants and whatnot. Even a simple paper-type packaging shud be good enough....or is there anywhere that we can get these sort of thing at wholesale prices? Now we're thinking of giving sugared almonds as favours, but this cannot be sourced locally. Only way is to get my aunty and friends to buy and hand carry it back for us all the way from Australia. Hahah damn mahuan, but it wld be slightly cheaper than what the baker wld cost for the cupcakes. Wah...damn confused...hahhaha
  11. BG: Thanks for your suggestions and sharing your photos with us! The place looks nice...and did you both sing your way in during the march in? That's so cute! heheh oh, and I agree those stage games are stupid too....NO-NO for me also. Rather have the MC tell entertaining jokes than play those games. Btw, is the cake given by Banquet really very ugly? Was thinking of just settling with that. Well, initially thought of giving cupcakes as favours (same baker as yours), but her price per piece now is kinda exp and can't give me discount. Only can waive the rental fee for the cupcake stand. So, decided to give other things instead...but still unsure about the cake leh hahah.
  12. Yaya mine is on 18 Sept 2010. Scary...getting closer and closer, what used to be a year to go...now it's only 5 months left hahahah BG: Yeah, they gave us 2 projectors to use, so hopefully the different montages will keep the guests entertained. Was it tiring going from table to table for toasting? Can't imagine doing 40+ tables in a night! Hahah As for MC, we've asked my parent's friend's son to do it, as he's very good in this sort of thing. He'll keep the guests entertained, no problem. Only thing is my KL reception, don feel like having the restaurant ppl to become the MC leh (altho it's included in the package). Sure that person will speak in chinese one, and my side family some of them banana like me...hahah. Ah, see how la...hopefully can ask one of my friends or relatives to go up instead :p Oh yea, as for the cake given by Banquet...how is it like? Is it just one layer real cake and the rest are fake? And what about the backdrop design? Can we advise them on this or do they have a default one that they use for every wedding dinner? hahah Thanks!
  13. I'm also having my wedding dinner at The Banquet on 18 Sept :) Actually you can negotiate the corkage for the beer to RM10, coz that was what they gave my parents when they asked. But we decided not to serve any beer for the night...dun want ppl to be loud and rowdy drunkards! BG: I think I'm using the banquet hall as we will be having 40+ tables too like you. Do you think it's ok that we don't have a band for the night? Just plan to play some songs from CD and some videos. Hiring a band like very exp le heheh
  14. @babyeclipse: Thanks! Nah, not having any bligns on it, as I think it looks elegant as it is. If you see some dresses that were worn during the oscars, some weree quite simple as well and they looked just right. Can bling with accessories instead like diamond earrings or bracelets.
