  1. Yea,Andy is chinese. Oh for us, having at 2nd floors is not a major problem. Our friends will be at the 2nd floor, which there is a balcony to look down. We told some our friends that they ll be at 2nd floor, they seem happier cos is not together with our relatives :P I guess is ok as long as we don't neglect them. I went to a wedding once at hotel, where everyone is on the same floor but i still feel bit neglected in a way that i don't get to talk to my friend, which is the bride. The only sentence i get to say to her is 'Congrats' when i am leaving. Even when yam seng, she just like come and go. She is too busy to greet us at the reception and during the dinner. So in my opinion, the guest won't feel left out if we remember to go the 2nd floor to chit chat with them a bit beside yam seng. It really depend what type of wedding you want. The main reason we choose BC cos we want a small and cosy wedding. Usually chinese restaurant tends to cater for bigger wedding like more than 20 tables. So if we taking only 20 tables, have to share entrance or with the public. Don't really like that kind of feeling. So BC gives me the feeling of having the whole place for myself for our wedding..like private event :P bad news for me!!!last week we received call from BC saying that my date been booked by another couple as they have paid for the deposit. i was extremely angry & almost burst out when i knew about this. earlier i've confirmed to Mr Shangkar that we have decided to booked BC & will pay the deposit ASAP as we need to issue bank draft. We've been waiting for his reply for the company name & acc no. Who know after few days he told me that BC no more available on my preferred date & asked me to change to another date.. for me it is totally unacceptable as i've been verbally confirmed with them & just waiting to pay the deposit.. anyway, eventually i cant get the same date at BC anymore..i forced to changed to another date as i still want to stick to BC. too bad huh.. :-( shangkar and andy both they are really nice people. Im in an opinion that there are too many people shangkar is dealing with that he may missed out - of course this is not a good excuse. nevertheless - give a chance and you will get what i mean - i have enquiring many hotels and chinese restaurants , their service consider marvellous :)

  4. Hi, I highly recommend Jeeves by London. They are pioneer in taking care high end goods including leather-wear and gowns. Most importantly is their service and sense of responsibility after you paid. Besides, they do follow up after cleaning service. Take no risk especially we are talking about wedding gowns here :) Regards~ Has anyone sent their wedding gowns to this contact you recommended ? Any reference ? Hi Joanna, Im not sure if any brides here has sent their wedding gowns to Jeeves before. I discussed with the owner directly last time, i met up with his staffs too and they told me they do cleaning for gowns, man coat and leather ware. They do some other stuffs as well, i couldnt remember. You can check out their website, or give them a call. The thing is they will explain to you thoroughly before they work on your item, and if they are not sure - they will bring your item for specialist checking before they work on it. Im recommending due to their professionnalism and sense of responsibility. I will definitely give them a try if i need to clean my gowns. Oh yeah, i was sending my leather bag for reconditioning back then. Hope this helps :)

  6. Dear Brides /Brides to be - Due to the remarks from brides, Mrs Gan kept saying her price is the cheapest in town. She also seems to have increase her pricings...
  7. If others in-laws are like your in-laws , which i think sounds nice and considerate from your post - that is fine. But not every in-laws are like yours ... Some can go far, and having your house keys not for considerably good reasons.
  8. hi, i think depends on what kind of design of the frames. mmm, in my opinion is if want to do, should be presentable - but to be presentable might spend extra cost. In my opinion, a more practical still is food eg chocolate. Most of the time, we thought we want to do something practical, but honestly how many would really keep them ? is just my two cents :p
  9. Girls, I would like to know more about their food taste / quality - or if anyone know if their cheapest package's FOOD wise is OKAY! ?? Appreciate it if anyone can comment esp for the year of 2012 , please !!!
  10. hey dear all brides to be - Any updates or news about bankers club , seems like is quiet down now #_#
  11. Dear brides to be - Anyone has the latest rate from Empire Subang Hotel ? Year 2012 . I have checked their website but the rates are until 31st Dec 2011. Appreciate if anyone has the information, thanks !!
  12. Hi gals, I hang out around this area quite often. Some additional inputs for your consideration - (1) This hotel is still consider new, so u get all the new things eg. venue, chairs, table etc. The hotel is located in a Class A Building. You would expect everything to be in high quality. However, please note there are quite a number of staffs who are new which you need to bear with them if their service is not superbly good. They might not be very familiar yet. (2) The parking might be slightly expensive even for 1st hour or within is RM5 - more expensive than KLCC & Pavillion. You may want to check rate for your visitors during reception night itself (flat rate or if any complimentary etc.). For your knowledge, there are elevated parking and basement parking. For elevated parking, you need to drive up to Level 5 onwards (or sometimes Level 4) minimum. Circulation at the entrance is turning in from the left and drop off from the right instead. You need to be careful if you are not heading into the parking but only want to drop off. Once you miss the turning, you have to make another big turning. You would understand if you drive there. (3) The Ballroom is located at Level 10th if im not wrong, if all your guest head directly to the venue or pre-cocktail outside your ballroom, they will overlook a swimming pool which is nice. If they intend to hang around retail at Level C to Level 3 --> there is nothing much to walk as the retail are only few. (4) Due to the location, the package for wedding is consider extremely high compared to Hilton. In KL city, you can also find many other 5 stars hotels which could give you about similar package with their guaranteed experience of holding past weddings compared to this new hotel. Hope this helps.
  13. Yes to all brides and brides to be - We should stand firm and having the right to get a proper service : is our lifetime memory and we shouldn't receive any kinds of customer service abuse. I have not fully walked to all bridal shops but i can 90% assure VOGUE is SUCKS!! Please refer to the some posts mentioned in link below : http://www.malaysiabrides.com/forum/index....mp;#entry378848 That woman is Christy i think she is the outlet manager - but other staffs also the same. That place is cold, empty and weird !!!!!
  14. If don do pre wedding photos, how much to just rent the gown for actual day ?? I checked the package, if i don take the pre wedding photos, i rent their gown also need RM2.5k = 3 gowns , so i might as well go for the package to take pre wedding photos + gown renting @_@ THat was what im confusing about #_#
  15. Hi to all brides or brides to be - Would like to hear more reviews about keep gallery . Anymore who recently visited or signed up with their package ? My comments are as followed - I have visited them last week. Im quite impress with their photography skill. I dont think their style can be categorized as modern or traditional but is more to the angle display and the sophisticated look. I came across quite a lot of comments in regards to their selection of gowns which are limited, which i disagreed. I would say that there are quite a number of gowns can be selected considering we are only selecting 4-6 pieces of 200 gowns. If you are given 2000 gowns, you may not be able to pick all either if all are beautiful. Besides, their gowns are new. In term of gowns design, i quite like them as well however - this is subjective. Customer service - Besides the usual long-winded explanation, i have no other complaint. In the end of the day, they are doing business. Setback - The only setback i would say is this Bridal Shop looks more like a Photography Studio when you stepped in. You may not have that kind of 'getting married' feelings. But ask yourself, a quality photos or the "getting married" feeling is more important ? :) Overall, i would rate them 8/10
