  1. Hi there, I am also interested to buy 3 units. Thanks!
  2. Hi BaoB, my nanny also loves taking my daughter out for walks, most of the time within the apartment compound, and on a few occassions around the neighbourhood shops....I have also told her not to take my daughter out of the apartment compound becos of H1N1, and more recently, the haze. To add more drama, I also told her that KL is not as safe as her hometown, cos there has been a lot of kidnappings recently (which is also the truth !)....good thing, she listened, and didn't answer back...
  3. Hi there I know how you feel, as my nanny is also a relative (albeit a distant relative). Since she is related through my mom's side of the family, I will get my mom's support and then convey my thoughts and opinions through my mom (this is only for contentious issue. For small matter, I will get tell her myself). My nanny listens to my mom, cos my mom is so-called 'higher ranking' and also have more motherly experience than her..hehe..it works everytime.. Maybe you can try the same approach?
  4. Hi all....I have a question...I have received a quotation from my ID cum contractor. As this is a 1st quote, my assumption is that he has marked up the quote with the expectation that I will ask for a discount. Am I right? If so, what is the reasonable starting point discount should I seek for (without changing the specifications of the original quote)? 20%? 30%? or more? less? Say, if the total quotation is RM100k, should I ask for 20 - 30% discount of the entire bill of RM100k? or should I negotiate each item part by part? Some items may have higher markups than others? Appreciate your feedback as I am totally clueless .. Thanks! :)
  5. Thanks Mr Donny. My contractor quoted me the following: 1. To supply and install 600mm x 600mm floor tiles @ RM18 / sf 2. To supply and install 400mm x 400mm floor tiles @ RM15 / sf 3. To supply and install 300mm x 300mm terracotta floor tiles @ RM10.50 / sf 4. To supply and install 300mm x 400mm wall tiles @ RM12 / sf I wonder if the above pricing is reasonable? If not mistaken, think the quote is for Kimgress brand...
  6. Hi all, may I ask what would be a reasonable quote for tiles installation on a per sq foot basis? Am thinking of buying the tiles myself, and the contractor to provide the installation work only... Thanks!
  7. Hi Mr Donny..the quotation of RM100 pfr for concrete top - is this the reasonable quote? I got a quote for RM150 pfr from my contractor ... If RM100 pfr is the norm, then I can squeeze him down by RM50 pfr ! thats a lot !!
  8. hi passion, thanks for your reply. I just thought if you had by any chance bought the same model, then can share the price...No need to ask around, I don't want to trouble you..so paiseh..
  9. Hi passion, may I ask how much did u pay for your Fisher & Paykel? I got a quote for RM4,950, model E522B, dunno whether reasonable or not?
  10. Hi Mr Donny, do you mind sharing which brand has suction >1200 m3....am kinda counting on this forum to choose the best hood for my set-up ...very lazy to go around and scout...
  11. Hi all Just wanna check if anyone has any experience with this ID house, Urban Designs. Have gotten rough quote and design ideas from them. Very nicely done, but just wanna check around their background first.. http://www.urbandesigns.com.my/ Do let me know if you have any experience ya? Thanks!
  12. Yes, Fagor does have triple glazed ovens. We do use a gate to lock her out, but sometimes her wailing is too much to bear, so occassionally we have to give in..sigh..
  13. Hi bunnyNwife, thanks so much for the prompt reply :) Am thinking of getting a modular vitroceramic hob to be installed in the dry kitchen for easy heating / light cooking, and the more conventional gas hob for the wet kitchen. Did you get yours at Benova? By the way, I am also using the HT-50X oven. I am quite a heavy user, and no complains generally , except that although the glass door is double glazed, the door is still quite hot - Do you have that problem? Now that I am moving and have an excuse to update my kitchen equipmt , am thinking of getting an oven with child lock and 'cool' door (triple glazed I suppose) as my 1 yr old is very active and loves hanging out at the dry kitchen although she knows it is against the rules...
  14. I have been using Fagor oven for 1 year now. So far no complaints and I am pretty satisfy with the oven. The model that I am using is HT-50X (click here for details). Retails price was RM3+k but I got it at 50% during Homedec in Nov 2007 (display set discount). However, Bevona actually got Fagor to deliver a brand new oven to me as they decided not to remove the display unit from their showroom - same goes to the Fagor hood. Haha... BTW Fagor is from Spain. I would say Teka is more well-known and thus more pricy than Fagor in general. I am using Teka's Vitroceramic hob (model no. VT CM) and the quality is excellent. Hi bunnyNwife, I am also interested in getting the Teka vitroceramic hob. May I ask how much did you pay for yours? and will it increase electricity consumption? Thanks!
  15. Hi Wen Wen I'm very keen to send my daughter for swimming classes. Can you PM me the contact of the tadpole centre? Thanks so much! :)
