  1. Christy, Why not you bring your girl to see the other paed for second opinion?
  2. Hi, you may find it from most of the baby products shop (e.g: Babyland in SS2, mybbstore in Kuchai Lama), I bought mine two years ago from this website:- http://www.littlewhiz.com/pd-little-bean-m...clip-on-fan.cfm
  3. 1) let baby hold the milk bottle during feeding? Answer: when my girl when in her 6th month. 2) potty train? Answer: 22th month, in fact I read some articles in the website before I started the potty training and I have checked how to determinie if my girl is ready for potty training (http://www.babycenter.com/0_potty-training-readiness-checklist_4384.bc) 3) transit from milk bottle to sippy cup? Answer: for drinking water wise, she transits from milk bottle to sipply cup around her 10th month. We accidentally found she is able to drink by using straw when we had breakfast at coffee shop where my hubby simply gave her the drink in cup with straw, and to our suprise, she knows how to use her suction to drink via straw. 4) let baby hold their own food and feed themselves? Answer: Since her 12th month, we gave her simple food like bread, biscuit... then slowly we introduced her spoon and bowl for her to self feeding. At 1st, she cant feed very well and caused messiness and dirtyness all over the place, but time over time, she learnt and master the skill of self feeding, and she can now feed very well. I would suggest that you read some atricles from those parenting websites, there are a couple of the websites which is good for your reference and as a guidance. ;)
  4. For the those food which may lead to bb jaundice etc, you may try to breastfeed your bb before u taking those food. If the feeding time crashed with your meal time, you may pump out the milk and keep it in fridge. Dont worry too much yeah, maybe you can get some confinement books for further guidance. If you could read chinese, some chinese books from Taiwan or local author is worth to buy.
  5. Hi Veria. IN term of quality, Eu Yan Sang is the best and more reliable, but the selling price is relatively higher than other tradtional chinese herbal shop. Why not you ask those aunties nearby your house to check which shop they normally will go. I feel those "si lai" know better and they might share with you more infor on herbs for confinement purposes .
  6. Sywiser, Hi. No worries, when your baby grows up it would change better. Somehow, when they start crawling, you would have the other problem - they tend to crawl here and there while dressing/ changing for them. My girl is in her 15th month now, and I need to apply the same trick (give her some stuff to distract her tendency to crawl away) whenever changing diaper for her (dressing is ok, as she will co-operate with us when we want to put on clothes for her) . I do talk to her and explain to her that mommy is going to put on diaper for her. Dun worries too much, parenting is always challenging, we could share and learn together.
  7. Yeah, Bumbo works well for me too. My girl is at her 15months now and since 5 months old we have already bought her Bumbo. She sits on it whenever I feed her solid. But, recently she managed to get out from Bumbo by herself, therefore, we need to keep an eye on her when put her on the Bumbo. Last time there was sales in Babyland SS2, Bumbo sold at RM 99 whilst I bought one from Babyloft, Kepong for RM 130.
  8. I bought my girl Pigeon Training Toothbrush Level 2 when her 7th and 8th tooth cutting through (http://www.pigeonbaby.info/product.php?pr_id=26). In fact, it is rather a fun activity to her than a toothbrushing practice
  9. I faced the same problem when my girl was around 8 months old. What I did was I gave her a toy or an item which she never touch before (e.g: small box/ container). I found that this works well as the toy/ item could distract her attention.
  10. Hi Rin. You send your bb to a GP (i.e. normal doctor) or paediatrician? When my bb is in her second month, her stool is loose, greenish and quite frequent as well. What I did was, I took a few pictures of the stool and bring the pictures for the paediatrician to have a look. Based on her explanation, greenish is normally due to iron contain in the formula milk, and to see whether loose stool is a diarrhea, she said you have to see if the stool has any substance or not. With substance means it is NOT a diarrhea. Therefore, in my case, she said as my baby is on formula milk and breast milk exchangeably, that's y the stool is loose and frequent (due to breast milk) while greenish (due to the iron contain in the formula milk). What I would suggest to you is, if you are not really comfortable with your baby's current conditions, I would suggest that you may go for 2nd opinion from other paediatrician. If you are in Klang Valley, I may suggest you to bring your bb to see my paediatrician (no worry, I got no commission from thereon yeah). I switched to this paediatrician during my bb's 3rd month, I give up to follow up with the 1st paed as mentioned in the above, no doubt she is bb frenly, thorough and with years of experiences, but the waiting time is relatively too long. Most of the paed clinic does carry the leaflet for the information on the rotavirus. This link mite be a useful one to you:- http://www.myhealth.gov.my/myhealth/eng/ka...d=1203406037239
  11. My delivery cost in SCHUKM is RM 4,500, inclusive of ceasarean chages, pain killer, medicines for both myself and my bb, consultation, single private room (not shared toilet type) + the rental of a bed for my hubby to stay over with me for 3 nights. My gynea is Prof Tan Ay Eng. In overall, I am satisfied with their services and comfortable with her judgements. In fact, I shared my experiences under the other topic: http://www.malaysiabrides.com/forum/index....rt=#entry198732

  13. Yeah, somehow I agree to certain points you highlighted here. However, I do not really agree that all O&G skill should be about the same. Not sure if you have personally been to see a gynea or not, but generally I would say their skill would not be about the same. There are cases where gyneas made a wrong treatment/judgement and therefore cause the death of baby/maternal. It is important to choose a medical centre/hospital which is established and it is also very important to choose a gynea is up to certain prestige.
  14. Ceetee, Hi, I am staying nearby your area. I delivered my bb girl Specialist Centre HUKM. I am satified with the expertise of the gynea, facilities and the overall services. I would recommend you to consider the SCHUKM. In fact, if are afford as well as willing to pay for delivery charges, there are quite a number of choices of medical centre/hospital which is within the radius. For example, Gleneagle at Jalan Ampang and Pantai Bangsar.
