  1. Hi bluelady_121, cac, jloh, BBdoreamon, davinci, dream82 and lyne Apologies for the very late reply.. I haven't been checking this thread for a long time Have PM you my link .. Thanks
  2. It just got worse. Malaysiakini just reported that Ahmad Ismail held a very "explosive" press conference. From being called "pendatang" and squatters, Malaysian Chinese are now made akin to "American Jews". All this sandiwara looks like it may result in another May 13 episode if the tension escalated and someone do something stupid. Seems like none of the top govt ppl are doing anything to appease or cool the situation. Where is ISA when we need it? How come they used ISA on the wrong ppl and let those that really deserve silencing, bark nonstop..
  3. Hi elfy618, claritzel and tomatopeanut.. Have PM you my links... apologies.. been really busy with work.... thank you
  4. Too bad there are plenty of these kind of ppls around... Think of it this way, will you do the same if you are in his shoes...?? of course not la.. By admiting his guilt and apologive, he is effectively admiting to saying those things and meant what he said. Bye bye to his political ambition, bye bye to public trust and bye bye to wealth opportunities. He is only a selfish man who is protecting himself and now he is bitting back all his accusers... VERY VERY Typical politician attitude A crook calling other people crooks to avoid going to jail. See below for latest news.. http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=...&sec=nation
  5. Which dialect group are you referring to?? Hokkien, Teochew, Hakka, Canto, etc?
  6. We did our ROM at Thean Hou Gong last x-mas Eve.... They dun really mind as long as it looks decent. I put on a small cardigan during the "angkat sumpah" ceremony.. but most of the time i didn't have the cardi on.. My dress was also bordeline to at tube dress with 2 very tiny V straps... For the PS session, i took the cardi of... This is how my dress looked like Post #80 http://www.malaysiabrides.com/forum/index....=4977&st=60 I have also seen a few ppl with tube dress/wedding gowns during the ROM ceremony also... Rotan buddy, Wah!! own makeup also look so nice!! must go curi relook at ur photo again... :P

  11. hey gals... managed to finish the blog.... my blog: link remove.. pls pm me for link enjoy! Escudo... oh escudo... dun la rotan me.. where got talk bad abt u... hehe.. u also enjoyed ur honeymoon rite!! Each honeymoon is special as long as we spend with the one we love mah... be it, basking under the glorious sun or cuddling together for warmth or just spending precious time walking on the beach on a moonlit nite.
  12. actually me online now only to upload the pic (private) and writing the blog now.. Have to upload quick otherwise i predict a certain rotan buddy of mine is going to cane me :P .. will upload on my public blog soon, the entire story.. will PM u later.. The speedboat ride is definitely fun, but when it stops in the middle of the sea to allow ppl to snorkle.. it can be nauseating.. esp if u suffer from motion sickness... we took the seats rite outside and throughly enjoyed the bumps and grinds of the waves; not for the faint hearted, esp when u approach the open sea... Phi Phi island is further, abt 1-2 hrs speedboat ride.. and u should be back by 4 pm roughly.. I also heard Phi Phi island is more beautiful and more natural as it is less accessible by ppl.. should give it a try..
  13. For us 4 days 3 nite was just nice... but we plan to go back again next year - same 4D3N for different kind of adventure (whitewater rafting and ATV) This is simplified version of our itinerary.. have not have time to put on my blog/facebook yet.. Day 1 12:05pm - arrived at Krabi 1:00 pm - check in and freshen up 2:00 pm -explore Ao Nang and look for tour agent for next day tour, take photos, do a bit of shopping 5:00 pm - Dinner, then back to hotel to watch Transformer and LOTR part 1 10:00 pm - bar hopping till late :P :P (note: u can choose ur tour agent when u get there, and there are plenty of agents to choose from) Day 2 7 am - Breakfast 8 30 am - being picked up for tour to Tiger Cave, Emerald Pool and Hot Spring - journey takes abt 1+ hrs (lunch provided) 4 pm - back from tour, rest, and then massage 7 pm - Dinner at nearby Seafood restaurant (abt 200 mtr away frm Pakasai) - cheap and good 9 pm - went back and finish the movie (Hb is a big LOTR buff!) slept early Day 3 7 am - Breakfast 830 am - being picked up for 4 Island tour - recommend to go by speed boat, and the beaches there are absolutely beautiful (lunch provided) 230pm - back from island tour, freshen up, then another round of massage.. 4 pm - Shopping for souvenier time... 7 pm - went to Burger King for a super duper Pork whopper... good place to get great snacks.. very diff from Malaysia's version 8 pm - too tired to walk so back to more DVD at nites.. Day 4 7 am - Breakfast and pack 830 am - Photo takings till pick up time 10:00 am - back to Krabi airport 3pm - LCCT airport I actually went into the website to research for reviews on Pakasai before i stumble into Asia Web Direct. Not sure why there is a different 10% or 15% booking fee, coz when i read the T&C it was 10%. T&C also states that we pay for the balance upon check out. I also emailed the hotel to confirm our booking after getting the confirmation from Asia Web Direct and inform them it was our honeymoon and hope they can do something sweet for us. But Dec being a peak season, not sure if the hotels will be free to do the same. Not so worried abt shopping as they open from 9am/10am till 10pm. So plenty of time to shop, but remember to bargain first at least 50% down as the price they quote are normally jacked up for western foreigners. Yup, most important in all holidays is to have ample time to rest and relax.. so basically we did spend a lot of quality time together. Good luck
  14. First thing, Dec is the high season... high season is between Sept to Mar/April i think.. and April/May till Aug is low season That is why it is more expensive, and we choose the low season coz we do not want to be fighting the crowd also. How La Playa is, i dun really know. Actually it is nearer if u are staying at Pakasai to walk to all the shopping area/central hub .. Like i say before, La Playa is only 600 metre away from Pakasai only.. To walk to the main shopping area, it would take abt 5 mins walk and to walk till the end takes abt 20+ mins.. quite near.. the entire stretch is abt 2-3 km only.. If you go by speed boat to the 4 island tour, it is only half day, start at 8/9am and by 2 pm u will be back to AoNang beach. Pretty fast for 4 island tour. U can try going to Phi Phi island, think it is 2 hrs by speedboat, you should be back by 4pm.. But be warned unless u have a strong stomach, it can be quite a bumpy long ride to Phi Phi... U still have 1/2 day to do shopping after that.. and the shops there closed at 10pm, so there is plenty of time to do shopping. Night life in AoNang involves bar hopping and listening to live band.. pretty cool. Massage there is also really pretty cheap. We went Sawadee, which is next to Best Western Ao Nang, much decent looking. Cost abt RM30-50 for 1 hr massage. We did the booking via Asia Web Direct, gave them the CC no, they deduct 10% off the hotel price from the CC and we made 90% payment upon check out. Pretty simple and safe.. :)
  15. Came back from beautiful Krabi just a few weeks ago.... We stayed at Pakasai Resort - 4D3N, beautiful place.. and they took the time to decorate the rooms for us. Near to the shops and beach and it. We booked it from the internet, under Asia Web Direct, buy 2 nite free 1 nite, so overall, i think we paid RM690 for 3 nites. Well worth the $$ and the facilities there is very good. They also offer free DVD to the resort guest to watch, spent our nite watching Transformer and the special special extended version of LOTR . Air fare from air asia was Rm800 for 2 person, in total for hotel and accommodation spent abt RM1500. Add all those round of massages, souveniers and clothes, seafood dinners and adventure tours etc, i think we spend abt RM2,800 in total. Will be going back there again next year, we wanted to try out whitewater rafting and ATV adventure also next round... :) I do agree that Pakasai is quite expensive if there is no 2nite + 1 nite promotion for low season. But with the promotion, it is actually comparable with other 5* hotels on the strip. Actually i think La Playa is abt 600 metre away (up a small lane) from Pakasai only. A fren stayed there too, also came highly recommended. Here are some pic of Krabi and Pakasai resort. Our bedroom The bathroom - too bad not bath tub Pakasai resort at a glance Streets of Ao Nang Pranang Beach and crystal clear water on Tup Island Enjoy your hol in Krabi :)
