I had sinus problems during my second trimester. My ob/gyn referred me to an ENT specialist, because she was worried that my post-nasal drip was stressing the womb. The ENT specialist recommended breathing in the steam of hot water until there was no more steam, as many times a day as necessary. At first, I was using a bowl and a towel, but that was really a nuisance and annoying. My hands could do nothing but hold the towel. The steam would always blow into my eyes and burn the rest of my face. Then I found the Euky Bear Steam Inhaler! It was so much better. Really a lot more comfortable because the steam went directly to my nose and mouth so it was much more effective. And because it wasn't a wide-open bowl, I felt much safer using it even with wild kids running around. My hands were free, so I could hold a book or the tv remote control or chat on the computer while breathing steam in. Now that I'm no longer pregnant, I add the eucalyptus oil that comes with the inhaler, and it's even more effective. Make sure to have a hand towel around to absorb the mucous that comes out!
