Recommended Posts

see how strict is the requirement towards cabin crew in MAS: Grooming checks on Crews they are calculating their BMI to determine whether the crews are under/over weight. . it's truly a quality control of their crews haha.. hope to control myself in this way too. anyone here know how it works? how to calculate it?

i learnt this during my secondary school, still can remember haha. BMI = weight (kg) / height (m) x height (m)

but i'm surprised that i'm underweight.. seeing the picture you show here, i found that the two consultants of the stewards and stewardesses are quite pretty huh.. :lol:

BMI = weight (kg) / (height x height) (m2)

E.g.: If you weigh 60kg and have a height of 1.6m (= 160cm), then your BMI = 60/(1.6x1.6) = 23.4

the way i count is measure your height e.g 160cm, then you use your height-100cm =60

for Gal you use the total result times 0.8 , and 0.9 for guys

so the 1dea weight for 160 is 48kg
