I delivered my baby via c-sect in Putrajaya under FPP this year January. You may choose from 4 specialist, I chosen Dr. Hamidah, she is a good. FPP cost more but it is definitely cheaper than private hospital. I have no complains on the services at all but then its all depends on individual.

Get to stay in 5th floor executive room, nurses are friendly and helpful. Still need to jaga own baby but if you need anything just ring the bell. Facilities are excellent, the rooms are well maintained. There is a reclining chair for husband or family to stay overnight. Hope these helps.

May I know what is your expectation? Have you delivered in other hospital(s) before?

Hi Jane,

Many thanks for your kind reply. I delivered my first bb at HUKM (non private wing cause I didnt know there was such thing that time.. very blurr since it's my first bb). The service is really bad. My 2nd, I deliverer at private maternity clinic at Pertama (under Dr Edmund) I thought the service should be good since it is private. But the nurses were really rude and they can actually give you sour face and not friendly at all. Worse still, the bed is really old. I requested the bed to put up a bit to have my dinner after delivery but the nurse is not willing to help. My husband helped me but the bed cannot be put down again cos the winder is broken. We asked the nurse and she kept scolding and said it cannot be lowered down. Whole nite i cant slept due to back pain and I actually called my husband to came to help me since the nurse only know to scold and do nothing about it even after I complaint I cant sleep with the bed up. My husband came in midnite.. he forcefully successfully lowered down the bed for me and he slept in the car downstairs worried about me. Both my delivery experience with govt and private are bad. Cried countless times during confinement month..

So this time around.. I want to try private wing at govt hospital since I heard about Putrajaya FPP is quite gud. Also I really hope my husband can stay with me during the night cos I scared of the environment at the hospital/clinic..

Did you take care of the bb yourself after delivery? I thought private would means they will take care of the bb for you? May I know what is the total cost?

HUKM also has FPP, is HUKM or Putrajaya Hospital closer to where you live?

My experience with Putrajaya Hospital was above my expectation, I met very kind and experienced nurses & doctors. Don't have to worry about the bed, but bear in mind I delivered there more than 6 months ago. This is my first and only child so I don't do comparison with other hospitals/clinics. I have my reasons for choosing this hospital, and I might have different views from others.

Other factors I chose Putrajaya Hospital including it is a baby friendly hospital, also it comes with free urut session. :whistling:

Yes have to take care of baby myself (actually hubby jaga la  ) after deliver but nurses are around 24X7 ready to serve you. My bill came to ~3k, 3 days 2 nights stay.

Yeah, if natural delivery 6 times, problem is need to go there during confinement. If C-sect, satu kali je. The urut lady also can come to your house with charges. How much is depends on where you live.

Just go to registration counter and tell them you want to register for FPP, first time need to pay registration fees, I think RM10. They will ask you if you have preferences on the specialist. Better go after 12pm, morning is too crowded. Although FPP patient can cut queue but gynea might not able to spend longer time with you due to the number of patients.

Other hospital with FPP you can consider are Selayang Hospital, HUKM and Sg. Buloh Hospital. Which one is nearer to you?

Hi newbee, there must be some misunderstanding, it is impossible Putrajaya Hospital do not have that service. You should double check  Or you live too far? I heard before they need to turn down people due to over crowded, seriously many people want to deliver there. It's so hard to get 4 bedded room, sometimes they are asked to go Serdang/Kajang Hospital because no bed available.

You may go to Klinik Kesihatan for monthly check up, not necessarily hospital. When deliver only go to hospital.

It is possible govt hospital don't allow monthly checkup for mothers with normal pregnancy. The practice is you must go to Klinik Kesihatan for your normal checkup, if you are categorized as high risk case then Klinik Kesihatan will refer you to Govt Hospital.

Unless of course, you opt for the FPP scheme at govt hospital, then u can go there for your normal checkup.

This was my experience when I tried to go direct to Selayang Hospital for my monthly checkup, they did not accept me and said I should go to Klinik Kesihatan first.

thanks ms tepung for sharing, it really helps!!

So if we sign up for the FPP, do we still entitle for the walk in check up after the confinement by the nurse, which normally will provide by the government hospital?

dun worry, you are still entitle confinement check up by nurse...but it will not from Hosp Putrajaya.

after delivery hospital will give 1 form (cannot remember name of the form..but 1 form with few copies with birth details). bring this form to the nearest klinik kesihatan (which actually where you should go for pregnant check up..)

like myself stay puchong - so my husband bring this form to klinik kesihatan puchong. nurse came few times and checked condition esp if your baby have jaundice. i remembered when he send the form, nurse also gave appoinment date for 1 month jab (plus at the same time they also will have postnatal check - urine, bp so on and also asking about family planning)

if have any question can email me gitps@yahoo.com *since i open email more frequent compared to here  *
