Hi everyone, I'm really in dilemma and in need of any advice/help from all mommies. I'm currently pregnant with my 2nd child at 36wks+. i have been going to Britannia specialist under the panel of doctors (Dr Helena, Dr Yap and Dr Tan) since my 1st child. Everything seems ok with the usual ups n downs (of course....) until now.The initial plan was I wil be delivering at Britannia in kajang. On my last check up however, Britannia adviced me to consider delivering at UKMSC under the care of Dr Lim PeiShan (whom i have never consulted b4). Looking at things now, the doc alsoo suspected tat i may deliver b4 40th wk, probably 38 wks. I'm also having mild UTI which contributes to early delivery chances. i have requested for elective C-sec. Q: sud i chg doc at last minute? The main reason for this advice was the possibility of my bb having ABO jaundice. My first child has it. Hence, HUKM being a gov hospital (ttho' i'm going to the pte wing) will hav better facilities and access to blood bank sud there b anything wrong or bb need immediate attn at birth. Problem: i'm really worried abt going to UKMSC. a misconception perhaps (on my part.... i really hate crowds) and unfamiliar doc. is there anyone who has experience with UKMSC or wit Dr Lim PS? I understnad tat pte hospitals will refer complicated cases to gov hosp due to several reasons. i'm just not sure if my case is really tat serious to warrant such a chg of doc and hospital at such late date. Does anyone have similiar experience to share? Thanks in advance ya.......
