  1. I agree with Sarah.. I like going to agents salon for facials.. for one, they are cheaper as compared to LD and also easier getting appointment. At LD, have to book like 2 or 3 weeks in advance for "peak-times/days".
  2. Airelis, Cellinique and Dermalogica are distributed by the same company in Malaysia. but they are not from the same manufacturer and R&D centre. A company may have license to carry few product or brands under the same flagship. Product from US usually will have common names. This usually happens in malaysia because import license is easier to obtain if you already have an import license for a similar product but different brands.
  3. LD has diversified thier treatments these days. I seen some gold treatments coming up but I have yet to try them.
  4. I have heard about this Mederma product also. Some dermatologist use it to treat burn scars. Bumblebee is right, you may want to try out on a specific scar on your face. See how it progresses. Different people may have different reaction to it.
  5. if anyone needs help on product consultation/professional tips or any enquiry.. I guess I'll be able to share some.. My sister is a dermatologist in the states and she is a practice skin therapist.. I have done part time courses in skin therapy from derma US when I was there, also working part time with my sis before I return to KL..
  6. May I know what product of salon size you need?
  7. I don't like mousse type of foundation.. I find very difficult to blend. I prefer liquid foundation followed by loose powder, more smooth and even.. My favourite so far, Makeup Forever Professional.. Lifting Foundation and Super-matte Loose powder.. great combo.. I also use a makeup base before foundation.. favourite so far is MAC Prep + Prime and Smashbox Photo Finish
  8. Mine would face blotching paper and compact powder.. WHY? Just blot my face and then put on compact powder and ready to go.. freshens minus oilyness..
  9. The scientfic name for it is Cold Urticaria.. happen when u are in a cold/dry country.. happened to me when I went to Australia last winter. You can by some anti-histamine (e.g Zrytec) medication and should control it.. Also when take bath use shower oil not body shampoo. Cetaphil body moisturizer works for me too, this is an Australian brand....
  10. Frankly speaking.. I don't go to Leonard Drake.. I felt thier skils are so-so only.. many trainees I guess. Those good and senior beautician usually leaves and start thier own..
  11. My sister used to have oily problematic skin. Then someone intro her to dermalogica.. After proper product usage, her skin got better and better. Now, I'm a dermalogica user too.. I really fell in love with this product after trying so many brands.. some doesn't show results and some made me breakout. I have to admit that results from using dermalogica products quite slow reason being they are mild that it doesn't harm or make skin become worst then before.. doesn't happen overnight and have to be really hard-working also need to go for regular facial. Another point, is to understand your skin condition as our skin condition changes over time.. Also environment factors like wheather, food.. and others.. By understanding both our skin and the products we used, will definately help.. In my opinion, no else understand your skin condition better the yourself... do some research will help..
  12. I had my wedding at this Hotel last year, dinner and dance style. Since I wanted a small event and most hotels comes with very big ball room.. I opted for Mines... The Parameswara ballroom is really nice, very cosy feel and no pillars.. I had a stage for live-band and small dance floor. Food so-so la, hotel style
  13. Frankly speaking and based on my experience, I don't know how much ampoulse helps to make your makeup look better. It would be good if you can do a hydrating mask everyday for 1 week before your wedding and photography session. If you have serum or essence take them along and request for the makeup artist to use it. For my wedding, my makeup artist happens to be my cousin so she told what I need to do to have a good skin before makeup and she told that I don't need any ampoulse and most important would be a makeup base. Those ampoulse that some (not all) makeup artist use are really cheap.. I can tell you where u can buy them (not here but u can PM me). U pay a price of 1 tube for 5 tubes.
