Hihi... Have u booked the venue?

i'm also thinking of changing... I'm also considering Puteri Pacific and I'll be meeting the wedding planner of the hotel this Thursday (12/3). Probably can help u to ask abt the availability of ur wedding date...

Hi xbb,

I had went over to talk to the wedding planner before already. Her name is Ivien. My date is available only at Permata Ballroom. But the problem is their price is a bit too high and they can only put 33 table max for that ballroom which my dinner require about 35 table. Having at Pan Pacific good is they include everything for you and u can save up a lot of work. But their corkage on wine is very very expensive.

Angielynn,

Will u consider Mutiara Hotel? their ballroom can fit maximum 38 tables..

the price is quite stiff, they refused to reduce some of the prices.. but overall, it's not bad lar....

Look for Magaret, the Sales Manager if u r interested....

One personal experience, we have to look for manager instead of their assistant as the assistants couldn't make decisions....

Hi, angielynn,

I've been to Persada today and met Ivien.. she's quite a nice and experienced lady.. The dishes are quite reasonable.. One good thing is that during the wedding, she will be around to co-ordinate the whole dinner or juz in case anything goes wrong, she'll handle it..

Actually, she can give us a lump sum for the corkage charge...

Mine is at Persada Johor Ballroom... I think it's quite nice and the main thing is, the dicussion is enjoyable, unlike Mutiara, I have to ask for this discount and that discount...

I will probably choose this venue... Hope u will be able to choose an ideal venue of ur own preference...

Angielynn,

I've confirmed with Persada.... Coz Mutiara required me to pay an exhorbitant price for an exchange of fish.. and i'm not very pleased with their services as well...

Hope i made the right decision....

Actually the bridal shop u choose will depend on wat style u like...

they specialised in different style, i noticed...

For example, Venus specialises in their actual indoor site which they claimed to be the best and they change every 3 months...

As for SG, they claimed that their photograher is an award-winning photograher and they are more specialised in "Tao Ban" which is taking photos with a white or black backdrop and use computer images to fill the backdrop (indoor shooting), which i don't really like it...

As for D'gio, their gowns are really new and quite beautiful but the problem is they always go to the same few places and same few poses for the albums and I don't feel quite secure as they are only in business for eight months..

As for Printempts, they are more experienced in photography and i like their natural style of taking photos.. That's why i chose Printempts...

Regarding the fengshui master, That's one who is my uncle but I'm not sure how much he is charging for choosing the dates... He's also very experienced in seeing fengshui for houses and shops.. u may try calling him.. Name: Peter Lai Tel: 016-7733390...

Do u know wat other shops sell nice pastry and biscuits for guo da li except for Yong Sheng??

Tq...

Hi xbb,

Yes, I agreed to your opinion for the bridal shop & different shops have their strenght.

We have signed with SG for our bridal package. Will update you about their service & photos outcome haha. Don't mind also share with us yours when u have taken the shooting.

Secondly, when is your AD? How did you select your auspicious date?

Lastly, I did some serching for cake shop. I found this website

http://www.jbexplorer.com/sharingmoments/

But not really sure nice o not. If you want Teo Chew style, let me know & I will get for you the contact, the shop is located in Pontian. Other than that, the most common one will be Seasons, Lavendar or SDS.

Hi, YC&XL,

my actual date is on 21/11... my uncle chose it for me as he is a fengshui master... I told him abt u already and u may call him directly if u r interested, saying that Evonne recommended u.... he also helps people to see fengshui for house if u need for ur new hse...

Call Peter Lai @ 016-7733390....

As for the bridal shooting, ask for Kevin's shifu to shoot for u.. I can't remember his name but i think it's Kenny, not too sure... he is the one who trained Kevin according to my friend who requested him to shoot for them too...

Hi xbb,

Sorry for the late reply as was really busy recently. Anyway I dont think I will take Persada. Found another place. Heard of Straits View Hotel? There is a restaurant there call Marina Seafood Restaurant. The price there is reasonable and they dont charge corkage on wine and hard liquor which attract me a lot. Anyway good that u took Persada as they actually settle most of the thing for you.

Xbb,

There are 1 shops in Bukit Indah sells all the Gua Da Li item. The shop name is Bliss Marriage. And there is another 1 In Taman Universiti but I can remember the name but the shop is around Bank Rakyat there. And another is at Tesco Extra Plentong. It is a small shop but they also have those item. Try this 2 shops as Taman Universiti and Bukit Indah as I felt they have complete item.

Hihi angielynn...

regarding the make up artist, she actually did the make up for my friend during her wedding.. my friend told me that she's quite good... so i've already booked her to be my make up artist.. i think if u r interested, u have to call her as soon as possible.. actually she provides a trial for us.. so u make try it out first.. not harm trying first...

Sg bridal shop is charging such as high price... printempts only charges RM700 which is expensive too... :dash2:

I've chosen Persada.. with the wedding planner, my workload lightened... Persada also provides wedding favours and tq cards.. so i saved the trouble... She will help me with the decor, the things we r going to present to the guests etc...

Hopefully everything turns out well... so how abt u???

Hi angielynn,

Actually if u like Persada, u can discuss with Ivien abt the package.. she can come up with a nother package within ur budget...

I got the RM768++ package.. and i combined the sea cucumber with another dish, the mushroom and vegetables.. then she upgraded the package with another dish of prawns... better than Mutiara... and they provide wedding favours.. lightened a lot of burden ler... so i confirmed with her...

Talk to her abt it if u r really interested.. she is very friendly.. i'm sure she can do something for u.. no harm trying mah...
