Early sign after conception

hey ladies, want to know if you feel anything right after conception, only found out that you are pregnant after a month or so? do share your experience. thanks

i felt different in the beginning stage of pregnancy. digestion is slow, rapid weight gain (3.5 kg within 2 wks), tiredness, swollen boobs, increase in vagina discharge, mood swing, swollen abs, increase in saliva secretion. i even got the sign of implantation which i tot it was my period on the 1st day but it was gone on the 2nd day onwards. i tested 4 times with the home test kit and it showed -ve results. went to the clinic gynae for another checkup after 6 wks of missing period and -ve results was again shown. the gynae suggested to do a papsmear for me and i did. i saw her eyes glowing with dollar sign when i told her i wanted a baby very very much. she advised me to take the hormone pills for my period and come back to see her after 2 wks together with my hubby and she will give me another pill which stimulates my eggs. she convinced me im no longer fertile as im alr 29. bla bla bla. luckily i din listen to her cos i din wanna disturb my hormone cycle with the pills. and i waited for another 2 wks. this time i went for the specialist and immediately he told me i was 6 wks pregnant tat time. cos this specialist scanned my uterus via vagina and he gave very accurate results. i also asked for a urine pregnancy test cos i worried my HcG level was low and was not detected. the test kit showed positive and i was so pleased to hold on to my tots and din listen to the unprofessional clinic gynae.

OMG. The 1st gynae really such a bulls**t. Not fertile at 29? I got pregnant wif my 1st at 29 too, my 1st try after getting married. No such thing as not fertile at 29. Feeling like smacking that gynae in the back.

me also early of tis year, my period already late for 4 weeks.. at home tested -ve sign... so i went to see gynae he tested again and still show negative... then he give me pills to let the period come... now i feel regard coz i didnt see another gynae to double confirmed. but i dun have pregnant sign just only breast bloated... and after that incident... 2 months later i went for another gynae.. and he did the vaginal scan... he saw got i small egg stick at uterus wall... but sometime i will feel pain when intercourse.. so dr give the pill to clear it...

For me, I felt very very tired in early pregnancy. As early as even before I missed my period. I couldn't keep my eyes open in the office and was wondering what was wrong with me. Only after I missed my period then I realised I am pregnant.

For me, I felt very sleepy / tired before tested +ve.

For my 1st pregnancy - My breasts were tender, nipples very sensitive to touch. On/off cramp down there, especially the V-shape area. And I had pretty bad mood swing but eventually got better thereafter. Bought HPT kit 3-5 days after I missed my period and tested +ve

For 2nd pregnancy - No tender breast/sensitive nipples (not sure whether it was because I was still breastfeeding at that time) but the on/off cramp still applies for 2nd pregnancy. Tested +ve before my period was due.

For both pregnancies, some how I can sense that I was pregnant before I tested myself with HPT kit. I called it 'maternal instinct'

lesson learnt. nvr ever take hormones pills for yr period. better not to see clinic gynae though its cheaper than the specialist.

Can i ask, is it the nipple will get darker or bigger after conceive? if no that sign mean not pregnant?

For my case, the nipple got darker and bigger only one month after conceived (6th week). But my vagina discarge become creamer in the 4th week. I think should be after implantation, after ML, stomach got bit cramp (don't know get pregnant d). I think everyone will have different symptoms. But don't be too nervous, those symptoms happened because of the rising of hcg level, and in the beginning of conception, the hcg level is too low to be detected, so the symptoms also won't appear so fast. Just wait patiently until your period is due, test with HPT kit, then you won't get so much disappointment : )

thanks for your info, cz now i'm taking clomid now already second cycle but sometime will feel abit cramp like period come. my period due date is 26/11/2011 mean next week... coz now i dun have any symptons... so i already told myself dun think too much... but so difficult to not think too much.. coz i been ttc almost 1 1/2 year.. so will disappointed.

I tried to conceive for 1/2 year. During the conceiving period, I had a friend who always asked me any good news. She got pregnant one her first month of conceive. So when I told her few times that no good news yet, she kept on suggesting me for some chinese medical treatment. I was quite angry that time, because of I felt that she was giving me stress. So my menses period become irregular because of stress (32 days - 42 days). I also had other friends who get pregnant on their first trial. Got once, my period overdue for around one week, I went to check with gynea. She asked me whether I am stress to get pregnant that time. I felt very disappointed and sad because that time I had a strong feeling that I am pregnant (but actually is no). So after few days, period came, and start from that day, I told myself that if I really have the faith of having baby, God will give me; if I don't have the faith, then no matter how hard I try, I sure won't get it.

So on August, I bought the ovulation test strips from a website and I started to use it on my day 16th. After my period finish on August, I bought the "ba zhen" from "yin onn" (a chinese medicine shop in Mid Valley). This "ba zhen" soup is specific for the irregular period. After that, everyday I tested with the ovulation strips but got negative results. Until the day 28th, I got a positive result. From that day onwards I had continuous positive resutls. I felt weird and I bought HPT kit, and tested positive result. So it means that the "ba zhen" soup helps my menses period be regular back.

I agree with you about the faith coz i got went to "kuan yin" temple and ask... wat the "si fu" said that me & my hubby "pat chee" abit difficult to get. Not say cannot la just need abit hardworking... but sometime i ask myself i already hardworking 1 1/2year but still no good news. Actually now i already give up... i already know no faith. so i dun wan to waste money again to see gynae or watever... now currently i also take "pak fung pills" (big size) and "bak zen" also.

Can i know how usefull of ovulation test strips? coz i nv try b4. is it to test when is fertilized rite? u everyday test, wah... how much is it?

I have tried many things before having my baby. From TCM to IUI. All failed.

I used ovulation strips every month. I bought from watson / guardian and they are sooo expensive. In the end, i bought from overseas in bulk. So so so much cheaper. Though it's china made but it's accurate. I am able to detect my ovulation period. As i am trying for a 2nd child now and i hope miracle will happen twice, i am still using the ovulation strip. I nearly use 20 pcs per cycle because my menses is kind of irregular. I don't want to miss any chance so i test in the morning, afternoon and night.

Hi. I bought the ovulation strips from a website called earlypregnancytest, u can try to google it. Include the mailing, a strip is around rm5 (the more you buy, the cheaper it is); but if u bought it in Malaysia, it will be around rm10 per strip. I received the mail in 7 days. I tested every evening (follow the instruction), if u got positive result, then the ovulation will occur in 24-48hours. Bear in mind, sperm can live up to 48-72 hours, but ovum can live for 24 hours only. So actually it is not easy to get pregnant especially for irregular menses. How frequent u take "bai feng" pil? Actually after ovulation, cannot apply the pil and also the ba Zhen. Did u take folic acid? U can start to take it now. So that your womb is ready and strong enough for baby.

I think it's quite useful. I had irregular menses since the birth of my 1st son. Some more breastfeeding so a bit hard to conceive because hard to predict "The Day". So I bought 3 boxes (if not mistaken) of ovulation test kit from Guardian and test every 2 days as instructed (after 12 days from my previous period date), in the morning since the hormone level is the highest in the 1st urine of the day. Once I got 2 very very dark line, then did my 'homework' lor. Got pregnant again, assisted by the ovulation test kit. The balance 1.5 box of unused ovulation test kit I give away to my colleague.

ok... mayb i also have to try tis way... if u tested very very dark line but is on weekday how to do "homework"? but sometime i so queries when after do the "homework" i feel like all the "sperm" will leak out.. but i try i nv wake up straigth away sleep but the the panty also will get wet. i also try b4 use pillow to put under my butt also same. Is it will leak on the next morning or couple of hours?

issit, but i try b4 TCM the dr say me my "qi kong hon" so have to eat woh...

Maybe different kit different instruction. My kit does not specify the testing time. But I wonder y 10am to 8pm.... I try to google the answer but couldn't find. This is the nearest match I managed to find though - "The LH surge is, alas, very brief - and in order to detect the LH surge, a woman needs to test at the right time of the month - and the right time of day. As LH is produced by the body in the morning, mid-afternoon is considered the ideal time to test."

Dun give up, keep trying... I got a fren who tried for almost 3 yrs and eventually got it. She was diagnosed to have fibroid, which makes the womb less conducive for conception. She underwent a minor surgery & eventually managed to conceive. Must find out the root cause of infertility...

As for early signs of pregnancy, there's no hard & fast rule. During my 1st pregnancy, I got no sign at all except no menses... No morning sickness thru out. Only sign is water retention towards 3rd trimester. Then during my 2nd pregnancy, I got very terrible morning sickness on the 1st week after my last menstrual date.... Evert prwgnancy is unique....

And I think it's better to beware if in doubt...

for me sometime will leak out and sometime wont until the next morning went to pee la... mayb my womb not in correct position so that why will leak out and the sperm cant swim in...

anyway thanks for ur advise, but i already dun wan to think so much and dun wan try searching gynae or find any methods.

and i believe faith, if no faith how hard i try also wont get.
