twinklestar79 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2007 Hi gals, I am intersted to take Royal China in Jln Ampang as my dinner venue. Anybody have any experience or been there for wedding dinner? My dinner will only have aoround 13-15 tables, therefore it'll be at the side of the hall.. Any comment on this place and their deco? Thanks

hungsiew 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2007 I've been to this restaurant for Wedding Dinner and it's quite nice. Ambience and food wise, not bad. The place is new too. But the wedding I've been to occupied the whole floor so I do not know how your wedding will be since you only occupy a side of the hall. In that case, will you still have a stage and screen/projector? Another thing to note is parking, I don't think the restaurant's parking is able to accommodate all the guests, especially if there is another wedding going on besides yours. We had to park at Ampang Park shopping center the last time I went. It would be good to mention to your guests about this. As for the reception table, you need to place it downstairs because the other wedding will take the one upstairs, is it? The reception table was upstairs for the wedding I attended, but the space is quite small though so you can't have too many people crowding around the reception table lo. That means your usherers have to be SUPER efficient.
meiteoh 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2007 Function room has stage and screen/projector. I'll upload some crappy pics later. :P My reception table is actually going to be inside the function room. My parents will greet the guests downstairs together with my ILs and me & HB will be upstairs at the function room next to the table. I'll have friends on standby waiting to direct guests but I am not anticipating a problem with this coz I'm making signs, mini-banners, etc. ^.^
twinklestar79 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2007 Hmm.. So ur putting your reception table in d function room.. Nvr thought of tat... Wouldnt it be cramp??
meiteoh 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2007 I have about 12 tables max. So that leaves a bit of space for me. Besides, there won't be any usherers sitting at the reception table. It's just gonna be a table with stuff on it, that's all. Anyway, here are my crappy pics of the place - it doesn't do it justice k?
